Will do Linda.

I think I recognise some names from FTF or GF.

Libby.

Good evening/morning everyone. Clear sky and sunny here with a top expected in the mid-high twenties.

Surprised? Me surprised at the idea of giving birth? Now, what makes you think that? I would be excited too - think of the money I'd make selling my story!

I used to post on FTF, I suppose lots of us did

Hi, Libby. Thanks so much for popping on and letting us know about our dear Alison.

Carole alerted me to a message on another site and as I'm a member I logged in and read Libby's message about Alison. I sent Libby a message and told her about our thread.

Thank you so much Libby.

Good morning Berona, you wouldn't want to face all those broken nights sleep again surely?
Hang on, that is the reality now anyway!

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 Feb 2010 20:53

Linda - I'm feeling much better this morning. Just a lingering cough but that's it.

Berona - you could afford a nanny with all the money you would make:-)) I have to ask why we're discussing this:-))

Hello Elizabeth. Welcome to this thread. Until now, I didn't know you were in Oz. Also, it is good to know you have connections to Alison, because we are all very concerned about her. She is in our thoughts all the time, but we have been unable to find out how she is. Please keep us informed when you can.

However, aside from your connection to Alison - you are very welcome to join us. We talk daily - the Australasians can't start the day without our "chat" fix - and the Brits don't sleep well without their "chat" night-cap!
It's good to start and finish the day with a laugh - and Allan usually provides us with that! You have probably encountered him on other threads - he sneaks off to them when Sue isn't looking.

Berona - Libby is Alison's cousin. Libby doesn't post on here but on another site. Thanks to Carole Libby and I made contact and hopefully we will be able to keep in touch.

Good Evening Linda,
Hello Libby,

What is FTF please anyone?

A website called Family Tree Forum which was set up a couple of years ago by lots of Gr members after a large falling out on here. Lots of GR members moved over to it.

I did for a while, but came back again. I won't say why lol

Berona

Berona Report 18 Feb 2010 21:13

Sue - this came about when Tec queried my sudden spurt of energy. (?)
I have undertaken a project of going through my house, room by room, clearing out all cupboard/drawers - and finding out exactly what I brought with me from the previous house and what was ditched/donated.

However, I didn't say that there was a time limit on it. It has taken me all week to do one double vanity cupboard and three drawers - but I'm very happy that I now know what's in there! I also know what not to buy for a while - if ever again!

Tec likened my spurt of energy to that of someone about to give birth, but I can assure him I don't look energetic. I sat on a chair and used a long-handled 'gripper' to do all the clearing and replacing - but I'm happy with it now. That doesn't mean that I won't get tired of it before I get very far into the next room!

Ah - I must pay more attention to the posts. I remember speaking to my mum just before the birth of my first baby and she told me that just before I was born she got up at 4 in the morning and scrubbed the house from top to bottom, cooked some food for my dad and grandad and then woke dad to tell him I was on the way. I was born a few hours later:-))

I joined FTF some time ago, but I'm still not familiar with it and don't use it. They send me updates, but I have not posted on it and rarely look in on it. I also joined FB - only because my family members are there and with them as my 'friends', I often see photos which I might not have seen at other times.
Years ago, I joined a 'school friends' site and forgot about it until I tried to join Friends Reunited - and found that I was already a member - even to the password! They had bought out the site I joined years before - and my details went with it!

Good morning/evening to all

Well the resident nutter, or Court Jester, has arrived and will be jester minute in typing this post!

Elizabeth, it was kind of you to let us know about Alison, but obviously the news could have been better. We do miss Alison so much. There is a person on another thread who used to post on here who is always asking if we have news, so I will let her know as well.

By the way any fibs, deviations from the truth, whatever else you wish to call them about my reputation and weird behaviour on this and other threads are entirely without foundation.

I'm a fine upstanding gentleman......at least when I'm sober!

Sue, Linda, I'm so glad that you are feeling better. Linda does that mean that we can cancel the Vet's appointment ? :0))

Hello to Berona and Tec

Reputation?
Weird behaviour?
Fibs?
Deviations?

Well I haven't noticed - has anyone else?

Good morning Allan. You sound 'fighting fit' this morning. Must have got some good answers from the wheelie bins to-day!

From time to time, I see postings on other threads by an Elizabeth. Am I getting two confused? Changed recently to Elizabethofseasons (or something like that). Bear with me - I'm using the Old Age excuse again!

Allan Report 18 Feb 2010 21:34

Berona, sometimes you can see too many family photos

I have a nephew who has posted pictures of his son on the net every week since the lad was born.

We should get the next set tomorrow when it will be - at 38 weeks old.

The pictures never seem to vary much, the baby eating, sleeping, being bathed and generall just doing what babies do on a day to day basis.

On average there are about 180 photos per week.

I hope that they are not going to continue until the poor boy is 21.

I'm all for capuring highlights, or taking photos at three monthly intervals so that you can see the changes but weekly is ,I think, a bit over the top
