Pat - I knew I'd been there. A very breezy ferry trip over. We didn't stay long - and it was a long time ago!......1953...I kept that bottle until some time in the eighties.

Barbra - hope you brought the sandwiches too. Don't leave anything there for Allan to eat - he won't come back!

Yes Pat it would be scary to win that amount, if I only won enough to pay my dept's and buy my Cottage in LLangollen and a little for my old age I'd be happy. Wouldn't turn down more if it came my way I'd then be able to see my children and 9 grandchildren sorted as well.
Pat your not from Liverpool are you hun?

Yes Berona,We do know where our money is going, on that cruiser.
The Welsh couple that won the Euro lottery won £45 million - we could buy a fleet of cruisers.
I was so happy for them, they looked a nice couple on TV. He was out of work, like so many here, and had been fighting cancer.
That amount of money would worry me though, apparently it earns £5,000 a day interest.......

Berona,

I can come and go as I please.

Like Dr Who I have my own TARDIS

It is a converted wheelie bin and we have travelled the universe together

Anyway, Barbra has left her winegums!!

Wow! 5,000 a day in interest! I could live with that!

I'll bet I wouldn't have to join Friends Reunited to find old friends if I won that!

I would have a lovely time sorting out my Will if I won that much. Think of all the charities I could help - set the family up - and I would not need to be a member of GR to find lost relatives - they would come out of the woodwork!

They couldn't chase us to Mars, or is that where they're from?

Berona, You made me laugh, but everything you said is very true - you'd discover relatives you never knew you had.

Tec,

I blame the advances in Technology (think Steam Mops) they mean that members of the siterhooh can now travel faster and further than before.

However, what they don't realise is that we have now split them between the two Threads.

They are never quite sure just where we will be

I might add that you have a fine singing voice!

PatriciaAnn

PatriciaAnn Report 10 Nov 2009 23:00

i don't know how it cropped up in conversation but it did. I liked the way the workers left a dummy in the window. I'm in a syndicate at work. I call it my escape fund but we've never won!

Diane

Diane Report 10 Nov 2009 23:03

I'm not Berona, as I said earlier I'v given up chaseing them, I'm to tired To be bothered, all you get is cheek from them ( especially the one in Coventry ) who I may add I have not spoken to for some time lol

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Nov 2009 23:03

Didn't catch though did you Berona, I had a whole day out there, alone. Just me and the camel, wandering about, the sun on my face, peace, perfect peace, 'till Diane grabbed me by the leg, but I soon shook her off,

No one will catch me tomorrow - I have a plan

and Allan and I will rendevous , when he will teach me to spell rendevous,

French never my forte
