We still don't appear to have any of your sunlight. I took jacket off whilst I was busy but it is back on and I have had socks on in my slippers all day. We don't need air conditioning - just open the back door and the cold breeze wafts in, open the front door and one of the doors will slam shut.

I was reading about Climate change in our Listener magazine we get each week, I do not like what is predicted, I am not a chaos merchant, and err on the side of sceptism but this is not a good look if we keep on this track.

Hello all:-))

I am so sorry to read that we have had a little unrest to our lovely thread:-((

Berona, I had a quote to get our insulation re done, but the people never got back to me, I suppose they are really busy. Ive got someone else coming out next week, so hopefully we can get it done. It will be nice to have some pink batts flying around in the roof again, Ive missed them!!!!

Its still very hot here, last night was a stinker..the cool change should come through later today!!

Sending (((((((hugs)))))))) to anyone who needs them:-)))

Alison..I hope you get some help for your dizziness, thinking of you! xo

Alison Report 20 Nov 2009 03:05

Hi All,

Blood tests went ok, usually all good if I lie down, but was worried I'd go woozy due to lack of food. It was good to have hubby drive me though. I've been home, managed to eat a salad sandwich and I've had a nap. Had visitors - which I missed, cos I was snoozin'.

Ok, yesterday's results - the radiation oncologist thinks I can have radiation. He says not everyone does it, because it is quite "radical". This guy is from Brisbane. He is going to write to the Sunshine Coast radiation mob and ask them if they will do it (my sister lives there). If not, I will have to stay in Brisbane, but it will only be 5 treatments. I THINK that is one treatment every day. He said it's a 60-70% success rate, that it should reduce the cancer a bit and also stop the bleeding inside. My liver is still the same, so there's no advancement of the cancer there - finally some good news! Now, I just need to wait and hear what the Sunshine Coast mob say and will go from there.

I will be glad if we can ease these symptoms a bit. Last night, I had an apple for tea and an hour later had 1 sausage, which I only just managed to eat. I wasn't sure if the very last bite was going to stay in my stomach. Tonigh, I'm cooking a silverside, so I hope I can eat that ok.

Thanks for your support and caring everyone. Thanks for the PM Barbra, 1/2 of it I've already told you!

Ciao for now

Cheers Ali

Pleased for you - been waiting for after school for you to come on.
I am very optomistic about things working out for you re radiation etc.

Hope you enjoy your tea tonight - stay positive.

And sweet

Ciao

to you as well

Persey...

Now wasn't that nice to have some good news after today's bit of twubble.
And my computer room is looking much cleaner and tidier... I knew you would all want to know about that.

Just wondering how long before Sir messes it up again.
It's never me you understand.

Now I can do the hoovering instead of hovering.

Berona Report 20 Nov 2009 03:30

Well, Alison. That's better news than you've had for a while. It has good prospects. I know you will do as they say and we will look forward to you telling us how things are progressing. It's an awful nuisance that you have to go and stay there, but you're tough - you'll manage it!

Our temperature is still up but we have cloud cover now and I can hear rumbles in the sky. We might even get that rain they promised us, but experience tells me to wait and see.

Alison

Alison Report 20 Nov 2009 03:45

Thanks Persey and Berona,

I don't like "the big smoke", but if I have to go, then I have to.

It's hot here too - but no chance of rain. I too have the air con on. Lurrrverly.

Berona

Berona Report 20 Nov 2009 04:41

Well, we got our rain. Same as usual. Rumbling skies, one bolt of lightning, then heavy plops, followed by wind and rain - then it stopped, fined up and the sun came out again - all of this in the space of about five minutes!
It's slightly cooler now - but not much.

I'm sorry there has been a little trouble on here. However, as with all groups of people we can't all get on and I do hope we can carry on as we all have been.

Welcome back Sue

Berona said our reports have to be on your desk when you arrived.

So what has happened:

Tec - his roof has a hole in it and he wont drown.

Allan - had been telling some very fishy stories.

Berona - has been lighting perfumed candles every day so the place will smell bootie corker for your return.

Linda - has been making gold stars - she says they are for the tourist people but they are really for you to put on your fridge - one for everyone of us.

Carole - has been out there nurse maiding above and beyond the call of duty.

Pat - well she has gone off with a hiss and a roar to Tennerifte - so hope weather all okay for her.

Colin - he just doesn't know who he is anymore - bit of a worry really.

Diane - she must be having a lie down as have not seen her - but she is somewhere out there in the ether capacious.

Barbra - she has taken to singing like Brenda Lee - but is worried about her OH and his mood swings.

Janet - Pops in from time to time for a wee chat and a friendly smile.

Alison - bl***y h*ll that Alison - she spat at her keyboard - good thing I wear glasses but my screen had to have a wipe down.

Norma/Perse - well what can I say, what can I do, but always look on the bright side of life de da de da etc.

Hope I got us all...

cheers everyone

Persephone from Aotearoa.

Welcome back, our Sue....we've missed you, xo

We got our cool change this afternoon, its much nicer here...we've had some showers, not enough to wet the ground, though.

We are off to the pictures tonight to see that New Moon from the Twilight series, its not my sort of movie, but the children wanted to see it...I wonder if they will notice if I sneak a book into read????

Enjoy your night all you lovely people:-))

Now that's what I call a report, Persey.

I have decided to call an amnesty so I will be giving out cautions to Tec and Allan but taking no further action. However I forgive but never forget. Any more trouble from the Terrible Twosome will result in expulsion. And Colin don't think you're getting away with anything because I will be watching you too. Any support from you in the background will be dealt with swiftly.
