Hi, Berona. I've still to send my overseas cards. I received one from a cousin in Wales with a lovely letter so I feel quite ashamed. Especially as I have a calendar to send her. I also have a parcel to send down to Hobart and I can see me sending it Express although from experience it doesn't always get there earlier.

Well I was in a very good mood at 6.30am - I was just waking up, the sun was shining through the sky light and I was still in a good mood when these two charmers came and installed the oven and hob at 7.45am.

Now it is time for morning tea and I am still in a good mood. It is a lovely sunny day here as it was yesterday .... I think summer has finally found Auckland... took it awhile.

Hello Sue - enjoy your Chrissy outing. Have just bought our young tearaway a scooter for Christmas but there are also a couple of books in there. He loves his books - I am very much a give a book or two at birthdays and Christmas. My SIL (not the swot one) was not much of a reader but you should see all the books he has got now. He is interested in guns and hunting and cooking so I have managed to find all sorts for him to read.
Are the twins identical? OH cousins are though now as they are in their eighties very easy to tell apart but they have the same mannerisms and tend to finish each others sentences.

Thank you Allan - I think 37 years is to be congratulated. In fact OH deserves a medal:-))

Persey - the twins aren't identical which makes it easier to treat them as individuals. They are also a boy and girl. Glad you've got your oven and hob in now.

Good Morning/Evening Everyone,

Alison, I'm glad you found the long journey to your sister's not too difficult, and I hope you have a lovely time with your old school pal, lots to talk about I bet.
Along with everyone of us here, I send you my very best wishes, and hope that your treatment will not be too hard on you. We will all be with you every day, all the way, and hope the time passes quickly 'till you can return home. Thinking of you.

Hi Diane, Wondered where you were! not very nice being disconnected is it - not long now to your well deserved rest, bet you can't wait to be a lady of leisure, if only for a week.

Hi Perse - By now I should think the cooker is up and running and you are cooking up a storm on it. What's for dinner?
Are you on stage today with Quasi the troll? I do hope all this celebrity hasn't gone to your head. There's no holding Allan since he became a star.........

Yes - a Happy Anniversary Sue, from me too. Hope you both have a lovely day filled with wonderful memories.

You seem to be having the same weather as I have here - a few sprinkles and one growl from the clouds yesterday evening - then nothing - again!

I only have one overseas SIL to send a card to now, and she recently moved house. At this stage, I don't think she has re-connected to the Internet, so I don't know her address. Looks like I might have to settle for sending a text message for Christmas! That'll be a first!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days. I've been working on my family tree and I just put on my 1,000th relation.
I was wrapping Christmas pressies on Sunday and I suppose I should make a start on the overseas Christmas cards!- tomorrow!
I hope everyone is ok.

Good Morning Sue, Although you may be gone already.
Happy Anniversary to you both - you have ten years to catch up with me and the Duchess.
Have a lovely day with the children - Enjoy your special day.

G'Day Allan,
I suppose you bought that mansion out of my 15%. I know you won't want to come to my ancestral pile now, so I'm going to look for a prettier maid.

Tec

Persephone Report 8 Dec 2009 22:03

No Tec - my feet are firmly on the ground - Quasi troll Allan keeps standing on my toes.

I don't really really like my new hob - I had this sold element AEG hob and loved it but one of the elements got swollen with overuse and could not be replaced and it was starting to look a bit tired. They do not make them anymore so have a ceramic top... it might look nice but is not me - I am from solid stock a bushman's daughter so not into flimsy.

Well Sue that's me put my foot in it - they of course would be different ha ha. When my eldest was at primary school - they would not allow both twins to be in the same class room.

Sue - Congratulations from me on your wedding anniversary - I haven't got to 37 years yet and our eldest turned 40 last year, but we have been together longer than I was single as well. When we had our silver wedding anniversary - we all forgot it, wasn't till about three weeks or so later that we realised... sad lot eh!!

Hello Pat - well done on your family tree:-)

Thanks Tec and Berona. We will go out for a nice lunch after spending the morning with the children. Tec you wouldn't have to look far to find a prettier maid than Allan. Those hairy legs.........

Persey - I have a ceramic stove top and I really like it. When we had the kitchen remodelled a couple of years ago I thought long and hard about what I wanted. A couple of friends told me that they don't stay nice looking for long but mine still looks good. What annoys me is the stainless steel on the front of the oven. It's a nuisance to keep mark free.

Hello Pat. We have bought most pressies but cards are still to be done.

Persey Trolls don't have feet, you are thinking of Standing Stones

Tec, sorry about the house! I am thinking of renting it out to a small Kingdom looking for a Country.

I'm still available for the domestic position

Persephone Report 8 Dec 2009 22:13

My previous oven had a separate griller above and was white enamel which eventually started to rust. This oven is bigger but needed the plinth underneath it because the total oven space did not = griller plus oven as before. The new stainless steel door has a sticker on it which says: Fingerprint resistant stainless steel. So here's hoping. I didn't get a stainless steel fridge as my boss has one and it shows all the marks.

Hello Pat
Nice to see you back on here again.

Persephone

Persephone Report 8 Dec 2009 22:15

All the trolls I have seen have feet

are you telling me that you are foot loose and fancy three or more Allan?

Berona

Berona Report 8 Dec 2009 22:17

Aw...come on! I think the hairy legs MAKE the outfit! Tec - think again about replacing Allan....he might not do much work, but he IS 'different'!!

I have twin aunts - 85 in early January. All that is left of my Mum's family of ten. They have always been identical, but for many years, one allowed her hair to go grey and then white, while the other kept hers 'rinsed', but about ten years ago, she stopped the rinsing, so they are back to being identical again. There is a very slight difference in the expression in their eyes which only those of us close to them can see - but from a distance, even we cannot be certain. In fact, my earliest memory is of when I was about 6, seeing my grandmother slapping one for something the other one did! Even their own mother got them mixed!
