I had a troll when I was younger. It was one of those plastic things with coloured hair! This was the first era of trolls back in 1967-1968 !

Bye Sue - Enjoy your day

Hi Pat, you have been busy with your tree - well done,

There are many trolls in this village - I often meet them on dark misty nights when out with the dog

They all have big feet, and three toes

Yes Berona, Allan would be something of a novelty in the house - I wonder if his OH considers him a novelty? wish I could ask her.

Ok Allan, I'll leave the post as it is - get here soon though

Pat, I remember those trolls.

I met my OH in 1967 and I remember buying her one from a stall at a fund raising event!

Persey, The Group took their name from me!

Yes one of my children was given a troll like that Pat and my mother thought it was ugly and horrible and could not understand anyone wanting such a thing. Then they produced bigger trolls - and now well how tall is Allan - just shows you what can happen they just grew and grew and grew.

Gosh Allan you must be really old the Stones have been around for so so long - can you strut your stuff (don't answer that have seen the way you handle velcro on the other thread) like Mick.

Well must go as it is nearly lunch time here and we apparently are off out again. Regards to the Duchess Tec and to all whatever you are doing today or in the case of the Brits last night - please do it carefully.

love
Persey.

Good to know you gather no moss, Allan. Could be a bit murky for you otherwise, with all that hair.

Allan

Allan Report 8 Dec 2009 22:38

Tec, my OH doesn't think of me as a novelty, more an oddity.

The type of elderly relative who embarrasses the family at Christmas time, which is why we don't receive may invites to visit!

Well Berona, you know what they say!

"A rolling stone gathers no moss: but a standing stone gets p***d on" :0))

I only knew the first part of that. Didn't know there was more to it!

Allan

Berona, I have a vast repertoire of unuitable phrases and extensions to perfectly normal phrases.

Which is another reason I am not invited any where...well not twice anyway :0))

Bye Perse - Enjoy your day, wherever you go.

Talking of those troll figures from the 60s.
An elderly uncle died a few years ago. He lived in a large double fronted Victorian house in London, but lived like a recluse in one room. It fell to my mother as his nearest relative to get the house ready for sale. Obviously, the house was filthy, and obviously my mother couldn't clean it. So my sister and I set about it. There we were on our hands and knees scrubbing a floor, up to our necks in muck and bullets on a terribly hot day.
Suddenly my sister went hysterical, and couldn't speak for laughing.
She held up one of those trolls, found under furniture.
It had bright red hair standing on end - when she was able to speak with tears running down her face, she simply said
"This just about says it all" and it did.

Hello Diane - hope you are well. Sounds like you are up to date with everything - and I'll bet you are really looking forward to the week off!

I am leaving you all now. I have finally become motivated to finish my cards and mail them while I'm out on my drive. I will need to get back before it gets too hot - quite nice now but could get up to 30 later. Wish I could send some of it over to you - and have some of your rain in exchange!

'Bye for now.

Tecwyn Report 8 Dec 2009 23:13

Hello again Diane,
Are you sewing the bibs on a machine, or by hand? just wondered.

I was having problems this morning getting internet connection. Eventually shut down laptop - restarted it and got connected straight away, no idea what that was all about.

Not sure but I think Berona has gone out for a drive today. Don't give up on your idea to get driving Diane - could you not take lessons now - though I know you don't get much time. Just that the younger you are, the easier it is.

Many aspects of human sexuality are very puzzling.

Take celibacy. This can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by environmental factors.

While attending a Marriage Encounter Weekend, Tony and Julie listened to the instructor declare 'It is essential that husbands and
wives know the things that are important to each other.'

He addressed the men. 'Can you each name and describe your wife's favourite flower?'

Tony leaned over, touched Julie 's arm gently and whispered,

'Self-raising, isn't it?'

Thus began Tony's life of celibacy.

sorry folks but it amused moi!!

Hi all:-))

mmm...Well it amused me Perse:-)!! My OH would definatley (sp) know what sort of flowers were my favorite, he's bought them enough times..specially when he's been in the dog house!! Roses, any color!

Speaking of flowers, "Happy Anniversary" to Sue and Mr Maid, I was 11 when you married...so that would make me 48 on the 25th of this month.

Ali..Thinking of you today and I hope all goes well for tomorrow.
Just daydream that you are walking the Scottish Highlands:-))

I managed to send a parcel off to my cousin in the UK today, I'm hoping I didn't leave it too late and that it makes it there by Christmas, Ive also written out some cards, though Ive not posted them yet!!
Ive still got so much to do before xmas, I'll still be in the shops on the 24th.

I hope everyone is well, bye for now my friends.
