My utmost apologies for my lack of response to the prose and poems sent to me, especially as I have had such kind feedback for my own writing on here. Please keep sending them to me and maybe in the New Year I shall whip up some enthusiasm and start writing again as well as reading the backlog. Don't give up sending, please! BC XX

For Bridget. I read your comments re my last story and your email just WHOoshed into cyber space! Just to answer question, the event actually happened to a good friend of mine, on Christmas Eve in 1962 and the amount was £65!!

And I want to take this opportunity to wish a very Happy Christmas to the lovely writers and readers. Maybe we can recruit some more members in the New Year.

Thank you for your good wishes BC and the same to you. It would be great if we could get more members wouldn't it. Loved that story, what a miracle for her.

It is on the Rhyming Thread, to help cheer Chrispy, whose father is very ill.

But will post it here too.......

CHRISTMAS STORY acrostic form

Celestial light shone bright
Heaven had a glorious plan
Rousing the shepherds that night
In the hope of saving Man
Stars hung in the midnight sky
To show them where Jesus lay
Mary now understood why
As she placed Him down in the hay
Salvation !

So the Christmas story began
Two thousand years ago
Oh, how angels’ voices sang
Rejoice, and let the music flow
Yuletide !

Rose has put it so eloquently that, lazy madam that I am, I can do no more than echo her sentiments. I hope you all have a great Christmas and that 2011 will bring some inspired writings.
