I was hoping that Maggie might visit this thread and explain the above for me.

I have had a go atw riting an acrostic poem, a very simple one - I don't do complicated - but I am really unsure whether to send it out. No confidence in my ability to write poetry at all. However it was good exercise for the brain.

Hi Ladies ~~~

Ann, I haven't come across the 'minute' poetry before, but have studied several other forms, and find them extremely difficult to master !

Funny you should mention an acrostic poem (please send it out ) as there is a challenge on at the poetry forum I visit, for the best Acrostic Dectina. Never heard of that either until yesterday. It is very complex, but if I succeed in tackling it, I will send out to you.

OK I will send it out, it is very basic but I was trying to get to grips with the form. That one sounds as if it will be beyond me though Maggie. I quite liked the sound of the minute one when read out loud.

I am so sorry for my non contribution of late. I have come to a screeching halt but I am sure I shall be giving myself a kick in the bottom soon, not sure how, and managing my time more efficiently. In my defence I have had a lot of comings and goings here and hospital visits but that's no excuse! I think the word 'lethargic' fits the bill right now. lol... Back soon. BC XX

I have been reading this site but as many of you may know I have been rather unwell and very "down" since last September however having formally retired now and back home in Spain with my husband I am considerably better. I have posted on another tree about rejoining so please do not let this tree die, it is much to precious.

Kind regards to everyone

We fade in and out a bit don't we? but I think we all want to keep the thread and the group going. I haven't much time at the moment and PC is driving me quietly round the bend ( wireless thingy has hissy fits) but I AM trying to be 'inspired' lol.
