Tec,

I've just Googled and there is a man called Noah. He is in the next village to you. He has a boat but reckons it could be a bit crowded, although he did say that at the end of all the bad weather that he was going into the fertiliser business

The Duchess is fine fine thanks Allan, if a little harrassed.

I will contact my builder tomorrow, but can't imagine anyone will go up on my roof in these conditions, they forecast more heavy rain again, and gale force winds - gusts up to 80mph - oh well...........

Yes, Allan. Anything regal - just ask Linda or myself - us "finishing school girls" will know how to cope with it!

I'll pass on the Ark I think,

We could always flee to higher ground I suppose, plenty of mountains to choose from.

Hi Tec (oh, I just realised - HIGH TECH) Gosh I'm funny!!

I'm just about to go. I do hope your water damage isn't too bad. Send the rain my way.

You are most welcome for a roast mutton, but you have to have the gravy made from the mutton juices. Oops - I drooled on the keyboard.

Bye bye to all!!

Bye again Alison,

this is like a game that I used to play with my brother after we had gone to bed (and had finally got our own rooms...I was 20 at the time :0)) )

We would call out "Goodnight" to each other, but neither of us wanted to be the last to say it. This went on for some time until either my mum or my dad appeared in the bedroom doorway threatening swift and painful retribution if we didn't shut up!

Just thought your "Goodnight" rituals sounded a bit like the Waltons household.

Well it's been an eventful day, so I'm off to a drippy bedroom,

Hope you enjoy your day Allan and Berona, and sorry I missed Barbra and Linda, but sleep well both.

Hi Diane if you look in - take care,

Goodnight my friends

Phew, after Tec's and other's weather reports, suddenly temperatures in the high thirties seem bearable. High 90's for anyone still on Farenheight. I shall retreat to the back room and turn on the fan until it cools down again.
Alison, I would love to try your roast mutton with mutton gravy. Mum used to make a hogget version in my youth but mutton would be so much tastier. I will wait until next winter though, as you know what they say about Queensland: Beautiful one day, hot and steamy with scattered cyclones the next.

Berona Report 19 Nov 2009 03:13

Hope it's not too hot for you Colin. Don't know about Qld, but I switched my Aircon on a couple of hours ago and just opened my front door - and the heat and steam hit me - so I closed it again.

Even the poor cat tried to go out into the courtyard (all paved) but right at the moment, there is no shade and she came back in faster than she would in a hailstorm! Her paws were getting burnt!

Thunderstorms forecast for tonight, tomorrow and Saturday. The temperature forecast is usually quite accurate, but we don't always get the storms they predict.

Alison - let us know how things went, won't you?

Hello from a very hot Vic

Yep! my air cons going flat out here, I'm just about to head to the pool.
The temp is only going to get down to 28c tonight, and back up to over 30c by the morning.

I hope everyone is well:-)))
