Good Afternoon Linda,

Salutations from frozen Wales. We have snow on the mountain tops - very pretty..........if you're a polar bear......or a penquin.

I was just musing (is that a word) to myself , how strange life is. One day last week everything seemed fine while I sipped my morning coffee. One hour later my OH is being whisked off unconscious in a helicopter.
Today, while sipping my morning coffee, there is the sudden sound of water running, as if the bath is being filled. Then to my horror, water starts to pour from the light fittings in the kitchen. Panic and mayhem ensued.
Investigation revealed a joint had popped in the water supply to the shower in the bathroom.

Hell and damnation.........Someone has it in for me.

Tec

Oh dear Tec,I hate to worry you, but don't they say these things come in three's. Come on think hard, something else must have gone wrong to be the third.

My second death happened today, well not mine personally I am glad to say. My mother's brother died this morning, he is the last of that generation. He wasn't married, but lives right down in Dorset on the south coast. I don't know when the funeral will be yet. I will go if I can, but it will involve an overnight stay and we have so many commitments in the next couple of weeks.

Does this mean that you will have to redecorate the kitchen as well as the dining room?

Tecwyn Report 28 Nov 2009 17:31

Hello Janet,
Not sure what time it is for you, but I suspect you are in bed - so I hope you are sleeping peacefully - you had been having trouble sleeping, and I know that is very wearing.
Maybe the children will be feeling better when they get up, I hope so.

Take care all of you,

Tec

Linda,
I am very sorry to hear about your uncle, and couldn't be further away could it.
That will be a long journey for you both to make, if you decide to go...

Yes, I know things go in threes. Can hardly wait - lets hope it's something small........like a pimple happening on my nose............

The kitchen is scheduled for a re-vamp after Christmas anyway. New stove, new worktops etc etc - so can wait. The dining room is not even on the list - so stop stirring things.

I notice that Sue has had beaded tassles..........well the last time I saw beaded tassles, they were adorning an exotic dancer in a dubious nightclub in Cairo...........

You don't suppose?........No, surely not ----- not Mother.

Oh Tec, just wait until she sees that.

Anyway why aren't you watching the rugby? Maybe because you are losing? Those Aussies are going to crow so much.

I am off to feed OH before he starts to growl, so see you later.

Tecwyn Report 28 Nov 2009 18:56

I am watching the rugby, but can hardly bear to look.

Oh well - we live to fight another day.

Well done Aussies, it was a skillful match, and we'll be back.

Good Evening Pat,

How are you? much colder isn't it?

I like both footie, and rugby, but can remember at school, I could never kick a rugby ball straight. Do you support any particular footie team?

Hi Tec,
It is much colder. Just had fish pie for tea. It has warmed me up!
I support Leeds United!

Am I the only southerner on deck? Good evening everyone! It is very early for me - I awoke early and couldn't go back to sleep - so I decided to come and see what's going on here. Any spats on other threads? After all, it IS Saturday night there! Must have a look.

Goodevening Tec and Linda
Couldn't get on here since Early Friday morning or was it Thursday when I was talking to Alison, been to busy.

Sorry to hear your new's Linda about your uncle, so near christmas and such a busy time. hope if you go to funeral you get there and back safely and don't get caught in the cold weather we have comeing up.

Tec you must be very tired, what with no sleep the night before last and then this problem with the pipe, hope there are no more supprises in store for you.

Sue, it is handy when you have some-one like yourself next door to help with a new baby, when I had my first child I was only 17yrs old and my X and I were in Northen Ireland as he was in the Army and I was on my own with my baby and often could have done with help, it was hard at time's being a new first time mum.

Hi to Allan, Janet, Perse, Berona, Colin,Pat and Alison,

Alison it was good to natter to you the other ( late night for me and early morning for you ), It is good your OH is some-one who can show his feeling's and not bottle it all up, as other's have said he feel's helpless to mend thing's for you so is finding it hard, but it is good he can release his feeling's, I'm glad you have some-one who love's you very much and you are there for one another, look after yourself hun and stay strong and beautiful, Luv and hug's

If I have missed anyone out I'm sorry and say Hi to you also

Diane

Hi Diane,
Hi Berona.

Tecwyn Report 28 Nov 2009 19:55

Pat....I like fish pie, but haven't had it for a long time, thanks for reminding me. I now support Newcastle FC - no special reason, just like them, but they don't do so well at the moment.

Hi Berona, Gosh you're up early again - yes there are spats going on, why do they bother?

Hi Diane, Good to see you back, hope you're ok tonight. We've got snow on the mountains if you fancy some tobogganing on a tin tray LOL,

No Tec - all's quiet on the western front!

I think boredom has a lot to do with it....It only requires one disliked person to submit a post and there seems to be a dozen others who appear from nowhere, accusing that one person of being a WUM. Sometimes I feel that the shoe is on the wrong foot!

Another reason is that once it gets past their bedtime, there may still be something left in the bottle and they need to stay and finish it!

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Nov 2009 20:11

Berona there was quite a spat going on Chat about a pantomime thread, maybe they've all become friends again, or it's been whooshed.......

Yes it has been whooshed Tec. Apparently it started out innocently enough, but went haywire somewhere and disappeared when someone hit the RR button.

Darn! Missed it again! Should have got up even earlier!

Berona

Berona Report 28 Nov 2009 20:26

There is another thread on General, similar to the other one, apparently. I'm staying well away from it because there has been so much changing of names lately, I don't know who I am talking to.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Nov 2009 20:33

Berona I think a lot of them have adopted Christmas names, others have just changed names. Very confusing. I will stay here, where I know who's who.
I've been with GR for four years now, but only wandered onto the boards earlier this year, first on Tips Board, then chat. I do post on another thread with an interest in birds, but stay clear of the rest.
Linda was the very first person who spoke to me when I plucked up courage to post on here - so it's her fault.
