Bye Berona and Sue, have a great day and hope it doesn't get to hot for you both.
By the time I have posted tonight some-one has left lol.
Linda would you not go by boat to Ireland, I have never flown I only ever went by boat as if you wanted to fly the Army wouldn't pay for your fair. They paid for a set amount of trip's per family member, depending on how long you were posted there, but if you wanted to fly then you had to pay.

Hi All,

Couldn't be bothered reading through all the pages, but thank you for the messages.

Have been vomiting and feeling quite ill. Have found after 3 attempts, a medication which seems to work on the nausea, but have very low energy and still can't eat.

I've only had 2 treatments and am supposed to have 10 - don't know about that. Feel pretty awful.

Hope you're all going well, feeling well etc.

Cheerio for now

Gees, talk about whinge - I haven't said anything good!

Hi Alison,
It is lovely to hear from you - but I am so so sorry to know the treatment is knocking you about like that.
I hope the medication for the nausea continues to be effective. Is it possible they have something to boost your energy levels, and give you some appetite? Anything you can manage to keep down will help your energy.
Try to hang in there Alison, you know we are all there with you - if they want to know who that gang are out in the corridor, tell them it's your international crazy gang of friends, and we won't go away.
Please don't worry about whinging, as you put it, I would say you are entitled to whinge if you feel like it - that's what friends are for.

Good Luck beautiful lady - thinking of you every day - all the way.

Tec

Hello Alison

I would like to ditto all of the above. Is there some sort of saline drip they can give you to get that appetite going. Do you like hot fudge sundaes?

Whatever you like whatever you want that lot out in the corridor that can't concentrate on the out of date magazines will get it for you.

Take care - 2 down and in a short while they will all be gone so bring on the 24th yippee-ki-yay and you will be back in the saddle.

Love and Hugs

Hi Alison. I don't blame you for whinging (your word, not mine!) when you are being sick and can't eat. Who wouldn't? Stay with it kid - and do your own counting down. We will be doing it with you and whinge or not - we want to hear how it's all going - you hear me???

Take care and stay beautiful.

Alison, lovely lady, whinge away!

there are whingers and then there are genuine people who have a lot to that has to be borne.

You are definitely in the latter category and it doesn't count as whingeing, just a statement of fact.

The thoughts of all of us on this thread are with you, and in your darker periods please hold on to that fact.

Remain strong!

Kindest Regards

Allan

So here we are in the waiting room Lovely Alison, most of us will be awake, Diane will be sleeping. Allan will be rushing around with his duster and checking wheelie bins. Linda will be cooking and baking. Carole will probably bring a horse along to sit on. Tec will fly in on a helicopter bringing the Duchess for her much deserved wide awake ride. Berona will have the place smelling lovely with candles. Janet and Pat will both pop in as they do from time to time and Sue will be there to keep an eye on us all.

If anyone can - a bush girl can!!!

Cheers

You all wrote such lovely messages of support for Alison that I copied and pasted them and sent them to Alison. I thought it might be easier for her to read in one go. She could also print the messages off and hopefully read through them when she feels low.

Good morning/evening all. Hope all is well with you.

Sunday was a lovely day. Warm but pleasant. We went to the local garden centre and I bought my sister in law a lovely pot with a mosaic design. I also bought a fern to plant in the pot. I bought my daughter a very nice garden ornament - also mosaic. The new gift shop has some beautiful garden plaques and ornaments. I could easily have spent a fortune.

Yesterday evening we went out for an anniversary dinner. We went to a lovely seafood restaurant down near the beach. We've been there before and enjoyed the food so much and this occasion was no different. I won't bore you with a list of the food we ate but I will tell you I had the most beautiful grilled salmon.

Good Morning Australia

Evening Pat, Diane and Tec and absent Linda.

Weather report: been raining overnight but looks like another sticky day is in store for us.
Watched 39 Steps last night - has your Adam Carter (Rupert Penry-Jones) from Spooks in it Tec. It was an ok adaptation but felt it lacked guts and was a bit Miss Marples. I loved the first series of Spooks, then they put the second one on later in the evening but stayed with it and was not happy when they killed off Adam's wife. Then the next series with Hermione Norris came out and it was put on even later - so after a few episodes and me falling asleep in the middle of it I gave it up. I know I could record it on the DVD but somehow I very rarely get around to watching them - it was the same with videos - we had heaps of tapes that were never watched. I do like Hermione though - loved her in "Cold Feet" and "Wire in the Blood." I believe she gets written out in the latest Spooks - or has that happened already?

I picked this thread up somewhere way down page 3, and the last post was yours last night and then by the time I had fluffed around typing on here you and Diane are here before me.

I like garden shops - but I like seafood even more hmmm licks lips.
I have just had lemon curd on my toast so will have to be satisfied with that. Off to make coffee now.

Hi, Diane and Persey. Seafood for breakfast isn't really the go. OH had "Beef and Bugs" - a beautiful fillet steak and balmain bugs. All he kept saying was "mmmm".

It's overcast here and has rained overnight. I'm washing sleeping bags at the moment as daughter and partner are taking the children camping after Christmas so we thought we would give them all our old camping stuff.
