No one seems to be around I hope that you are all keeping warm ,i is horrendously cold here,I have solved the problem of my cold feet by wrapping them in a fleece blanket.

Spent most of the day in my tree - now crosseyed, and slightly confused, so what's new? I wonder if there's such a thing as Genealogy Meltdown?

I can hear car wheels frantically spinning outside. Someone is optimistically hoping to escape - no chance.

If those in the UK go to www.raintoday. co. uk
you can see current snowfall in your area if you put in postcode.

Hello, Tec and everyone else:-))

I'll never complain about the cold again. I've been looking at the weather in the UK and I can't believe how freezing cold it is. OH has been "chatting" to his brother and he's confined to home because he has a bad chest. He's got cabin fever:-)) We have some elderly relatives who are of great concern to us but we've contacted family and they are all ok. My uncle who is 90 this year is fiercely independant and still lives in his own home. However my cousin who live 2 hours away has insisted he stay with them and drove up to get him. Apparently he didn't object.

Hope you're feeling a little better Tec. It's a well known fact that men suffer so much more with colds and flus than women do:-))

Sue, I am a total failure because i failed to find Tec;s family on a census, mind they are Welsh!

SueMaid Report 5 Jan 2010 20:30

Linda - I don't believe you:-)) Keep looking - I'm sure you'll find them somewhere. I'm a bit burned out at the moment. I've been swamped with info. with Ancestry transcribing the deaths and so I'm going to spend some time sorting through some old photos and documents. I'm trying to decipher 3 wills I downloaded from the National Archives site - that's slow going but interesting.

Morning/Evening

How are you all?

Another early morning for me. I do hope it is not so hot today as I have had enough of the heat and demand that it be stopped....lol. When I ventured to the shops yesterday noticed the winter clothing coming in and the hot cross buns!! How I am suppose to loose weight in between Xmas and Easter !!

Grocery shopping today as I am back to work tomorrow and need to get some easy food for the cherubs (teenagers) to consume while I am not here..No looking forward to the mess that they leave tho :(

Hope all is well with everyone.

Oh I am sure that they will clear up after themselves Janet. Just as sure as I am that it will be 37 degrees here tomorrows well

Allan Report 5 Jan 2010 21:18

Good evening/morning to one and all

Linda you seem to have as much sympathy for a poorly man as my OH does. Poor Tec, building up his hopes like that and then dashing them.

In WA we pay for all our water and the more you use the more expensive it becomes. That was one of the reasons that we dug up the back lawn.

Janet I know what you mean about the heat! Our temps are usually a degree or two cooler than Perth's but our outside thermometer is constantly reading higher than the official temp.

Understandable in the morning as the back of the house faces East and the thermometer is on the back veranda, but in the evenings the sun has gone off there and we still have higher temps!

Tec, if you do build a snowman, please get him a passport and send him over here!

Good morning to Sue and Berona

Linda, I don't think you're a failure at all, you did managet o find details of my grandfathers death - and those Welsh ancestors of mine are notoriously difficult to trace - they were always a secretive lot.

Hi Janet, If you keep getting up early you could join Allan on his walks and meet his wheelie bins. You'd enjoy that wouldn't you?

I said on my earlier post that never was, that I could hear car wheels spinning outside - someone is optimistically hoping to escape - he has no chance. Meant to say, he's still at it.

Hello, Allan and Janet. I've also noticed that Easter stuff and of course back to school goods are in the stores. Before long the jewellery shops will be urging young men to spend all their money on a piece of bling for their sweethearts for Valentine's Day.

We're looking after our 5 yo grandson today and I'm really looking forward to having him by himself without his rowdy but gorgeous siblings. He's a quiet little boy and the twins often get more attention because they are loud. He starts school at the end of the month and he is looking forward to it so much. His mother isn't - she gets teary just talking about it.

We haven't heard from Ali for awhile. I hope she's ok. I'm thinking that perhaps she has been admitted to hospital to help her gain weight.

Good Morning Allan,

I would gladly send you a snowman, but I think you'd end up with a puddle in the yard - a battered hat, and a carrot.

I had hoped that I might get some sympathy on here from the sisterhood in my current fragile state. Only Sue admitted that she understood how men suffer with a bad cold. That Linda wasn't sympathetic was she, but as she is searching for my long lost relatives, I will excuse her.

Oh Sue, it seems so long since my little ones started school. That is because it was of course.

Good evening Allan, you are silly, the snowman would be fine in the hold of the plane, but it would melt as soon as it got there.

Sue, I was wondering the same thing about Alison, we need her to get her OH o pm someone

Allan

LindainHerriotCountry Report 5 Jan 2010 21:41

Oh poor Tec, come on sit down, snuggle under the blanket and would you prefer tea of coffee, or something stronger perhaps?

I sent you a pm by the way, not that I have found them

Berona

Berona Report 5 Jan 2010 21:43

Good evening/morning all! I feel like I am coming up for air! After a week of all-night cramps every night - had only one short cramp two nights ago and NONE last night!!! Already, my leg muscles feel much improved, and I actually had two 3-hour sleeps last night! I think my sleep pattern got out of whack, but it's getting there! I will, however, get checked out when the Dr gets back next week.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 5 Jan 2010 21:45

Tec that wasn't sympathy - I was being facetious:-))

Linda - I don't have Alison's email address and she may not be on the computer anyway. I'll send a PM and hopefully she or her OH may see it.
