Hi Berona,
We are ok thank you - I've got a cold again, but I'll live.

Hope you accepted your "lecture" gracefully. Funny isn't it really. We have a visit from our daughter about every two months or so. We get a lecture on what we should be doing, or what she thinks we could do with. The Duchess ignores this, and doesn't comment, whereas I laugh at her,
"Yes Dear - No Dear - Three Bags Full Dear" she gets so cross.
Ok so we are both getting on a bit, but neither of us are imbeciles, we have survived so far - and I think we have enough experience of life to cope after all this time.
I know they mean well..........but grrrrrrrr

Tec - I did the reverse. I lectured my daughter and she was very quick to let me know my place. It was something small but I've been told off and will be more diplomatic in future.

I really must be off now - I have some paperwork that needs to be sorted and filed. No much but I feel it needs to be done. I hate having to look for stuff when it's needed and not being able to find it.

Good day/evening:-))

Sue,
We're all talking about our daughters it seems - I wonder if their ears are burning.....haha.

Plas Llanmihangel is the subject of next Mondays Hidden Welsh Houses show, I shall watch with great interest, and wonder why I didn't inherit it. :((

Too many pages to catch up on - but I did see our Berona in there posting away so am so glad you are back in good spirits (whichever one you choose).

I have been hearing about all the flooding in NSW and now the outbreak and worry of hoardes of mosquitoes.

And of course we are getting the weather reports all about the worst winter snow wise in two decades in the UK.

I got back yesterday but then computer went to be fixed - we had lost our e-mails - turns out they were way too full and we hadn't archive so without warning it just keeled over. So $70 lighter we won't be having that happen again.

Talk to you all later.

Perse..

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry i haven't been around but my bedroom is being decorated and as a result of this I haven't got broadband at home.
It snowed in Exeter but not as bad as some parts of the country.
I hope everyone is ok

Hello Pat

I have been to where they go surfing (not me tho I would fall off my surfboard before I had even stood up) Very warm here but expecting some rain tomorrow afternoon.
Did you get to choose the colours etc for you decorated room?
We spend hours choosing colours and we take home samples and try them with daylight, and then with the lights on at night - quite a performance.

Persey.

Good to see you Perse and Pat. I hope that your bedroom is back together soon Pat,so that you can get back on line.

Surfing sounds too strenuous for me Perse, in my younger days maybe, but sadly they are long gone. I had a lazy start to the day because their was an interesting programme on the radio and listening to it meant that I could delay getting out of my nice warm bed. I have atoned for that by doing some housework. Yes I know, but toilets don't clean themselves.

OH has ventured into the garage to carry on building a frame for the wormery. he is wearing three jumpers and a hat.

I managed to stay in yesterday, but I have to walk into the market square this afternoon to do my stint in the tourist office. I didn't think anyone would be around this week, but I actually sold a fair bit of stock when I was there on Monday afternoon.

Linda,

Good Morning - Isn't it a trifle cold for OH to be in the garage without any trousers on?

Ah yes, he is wearing trousers, wouldn't want things to shrivel!

Time for lunch for me and then out to brave the cold.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Jan 2010 18:33

Brr, how cold it is. It is already minus six, the local forecast says it could be down to minus twelve in the area tonight. It was sunny when i walked into the square this afternoon, but bitterly cold when I came back. They showed an amazing picture of the country on the news. It was taken from space and the whole country was just white.

Come on you Poms - get a grip. It's just a little snow. I've watched the news and I can't see your problem:-))

Morning Sue

I do believe it is called White Out....
I don't believe I would go out in it and they are talking of penalising people who can't get to work because of the snow.

Brrrrrrrrr.

It is lovely over here Linda - warm, but there is just a nice breeze blowing though I think we have rain forecast for this arvo.
It does bother me as to where all the cold climate is heading - they say this is the worst one in two decades - but now what will the future bring?

Pessimistic Perse.

SueMaid Report 7 Jan 2010 21:04

Hello, Perse - it is worrying to think where this weather is heading.

Once again it is overcast, cool and threatening rain. We've had very little sunshine since Christmas. When it is sunny it's hot and very humid and we usually have a thunderstorm in the evening. Still it's preferable to Britain and Europe's weather.
