Sue,
Of the three children that live near me, the middle boy aged six is very quiet, mainly because he can't get a word in when they are all together, he tends to give up in the end, so I make a point of listening to him, and ask the others to be quiet for a minute - it works, and he has a lot to say if given the chance.

Allan....I would be on the first plane out of here if I could, to Bermuda

Hi, Berona. I'm glad you are feeling better:-)

Tec - that's what we do with our 5 yo. We take a bit more time to listen to him. He's a clever little boy - reading and writing already. He has the funniest sense of humour and reminds me very much of his mum when she was little.

Linda,
I did answer you pm, but you haven't opened it yet.

Hi Berona, You seem to be making some progress, I hope it continues, did you manage to get out for a drive?

Residents of the UK.............

If you google www.rainfall.co.uk
and put in your postcode, it will give you up to the minute snow forecast for your paticular area...........very useful

Don't you Poms do what we do? Stick your head out the door and if it's hot - it's hot, if it's windy - it's windy etc. Very reliable:-)

I must be off, my friends. Grandson will be arriving soon so I must get a few things done. We may take him to the movies:-)

'Bye Sue

My apologies for being AWOL but we have just been getting a few things sorted for my daughter's stay tomorrow.

I must admit that I am looking forward to the break...even if the weather is hot!

No Tec, haven't got out yet. A neighbour noticed my mailbox filling up and came to offer to clear it for me. He also offered any help and since I haven't put my bin out for three weeks, I may ask him to bring it in this week. Son and daughter are both home now, although son is back at work, but one of them will put it out for me. Might ask the neighbour to bring it in next morning. I'm staying on my feet a little more, but might not be back to walking that far by Friday! I'm hoping, though!

It makes me feel a lot better just knowing that people are there if I need them.

Berona,
Yes, it is reassuring for you to know there are people around if you need them - you never know.
Little things like the mailbox, and the bins are something not to have to worry about, and it;s good that someone noticed the mailbox was filling up.
Maybe you will feel easier now that your son and daughter are back,
I hope things keep improving for you,

Tec

I sent her death Tec,

Berona, my mum's next door neighbour was a godsend, he did the bins for her and popped in every day. She couldn't have stayed there without him. She has left him something in her will, though he doesn't know that yet

I may have found her, it could be worth a punt on the birth cert as you know the exact date from the death. I will play more tomorrow, but I am off to bed now

Goodnight everyone
