Diane - I'm good thank you. We're having our grandson for the day. He's starting school soon so we're wanting to spend some time with him before he goes. It's raining here today so we might take him to the pictures.

I have been trying to work out why I don't get a little number by the messages to alert me when I get a new message. I do on my main computer, a little number 1 appears next to the word messages on the green bar across thew top of the screen, but it doesn't appear on my lap top, so I don't know I have any messages

And yes on the other thread I was referring to the expansion of metal in heat.

As an ex-Physics Teacher, Linda will be able to tell you about the coefficient of linear expansion and contraction..that is why there are gaps in Railway lines

Well it seems that the weather is not varying much for any of us!

We did our own retail thing yesterday and purchased a new microwave...a downsized version of our old one!

Yes unfortunately,
now that I have monitoring equipment he's playing hide and seek, mind you if he run's true to form it should get noisey at the weekend.

Diane - you must get it right. It's not 'good-day' - it's 'g'day". (We are a lazy lot).

Allan - mind your language! You're using words we don't all know there! Must check the T & C's.

Sue - you will find that the friend you found when you wrote a message to yourself, will be a true friend and will always say the right thing. Ask a question, and she will always give you the answer you want to hear.

Good evening Allan, I could indeed tell you all about the coefficient of linear expansion and contraction..The tapered gaps in the railway lines aren't the same as the old fashioned straight gaps. OK the ride is smoother, but it doesn't make that nice "clickety click" noise any more

Allan I'v just noticed all the time I'v been spelling quiet, I'v been putting ( quite ) the E in the wrong place lol.

Berona - I'm very glad you agree with me and me - I'm very fond of me:-))

Diane - yes he's my daughter's eldest. He's very excited. He's got his new school bag and he takes it everywhere with his lunch box, bottle, art smock and library bag inside:-))

Liverpool are loosing again, well what do you expect, Stevie G has gone off, and as usual the team seem to fall apart when he and Torres arn't playing.
