You haven't lost your touch, Allan, but now you've corrupted Linda and she is using those words too. Tut, tut.

It is a long time since I used those words Berona, they bring back such memories....

Ooh Linda - I just said that to my son who's a staunch Liverpool supporter. He stomped off to work muttering about missing the end of the game.

Linda I enjoyed physics when I was at school especially dealing with Light, Electricity and Magnetism, although Heat and Mechanicsdidn't hold the same appeal

Sue, the strange part is that not once did I suggest that they google the song!

I just assumed that most people had heard of it.

More evidence of my misspent youth!!

Morning Allan and everyone.

Sori to be late - I came on and everyone was here, I could not believe how much has been said. I had hardly got on the computer and my daughter rang from Wellington so (or should that be sew in regards to the other thread) that took up part of my time as she had me popping all over the internet with her web designing.

See you are all connected again Tec,.... so that's good. You seemed to vanish with a flicker and a blackout yesterday,

I like the clickety-clack Linda - I remember the two Ronnies doing a skit on a train and it was all done in time to the clickety-clack and was very clever. I would travel everywhere by rail if it was practical, that is how I saw NZ when I was a youngster with my father working for the railways.

(^_^) 's to everyone

SueMaid Report 13 Jan 2010 22:51

Oh Linda - we were relying on you:-( Never mind.

I wonder where Tec is? Maybe his connection has gone with the nasty weather and all.

I must be off. What a good start to the day. Lots of laughs - the way it should be. Love to you all.

Sue xx

Sorry Perse - didn't see you there. Talk later.

Diane - We had what they called drill bags when I was at school - we had to keep our sports gear in them - which was these ghastly rompers and our sandshoes etc)
My daughter was always disappointed that they did not have library bags at school - she wanted to have one that hung on the back of her school chair.
When I went to primary school we had ink-wells and I used to get in such a mess with the stupid dip pen. My mother got her little finger stuck in the ink well playing in it and had to go to the front of the glass and hold out her hand for the strap and the inkwell was still stuck to it - and no one was allowed to laugh.

The weather is still bad there, but his internet was on earlier. I gave him lot's of burials for his tree, I think he was going to look at them.

Have a good day Sue

I was ink monitor at school Perse, I had to go round filling up the ink wells. In "top" class we had to mix the ink powder in water to make the ink, so that the ink monitors from the other classes could come and collect it

Diane Report 13 Jan 2010 22:59

I had a satchel and used to hate it, as they were usally what the lad's had, I know I was a bit of a Tom-boy but that was takeing thing's a bit far,

Bye Sue, enjoy your time with your grand-son, and yes it has been a laugh on the other thread hun.

My middle finger still has a sort of callousy bit all these many many years later where the dip pen used to rub.
You had to write ever so neat and tidy before you were allowed to use a fountain pen. Took me blimmin' ages.

Don't say the cruise is off Linda. It's always ON - we just haven't been able to set a date for it yet! Don't give up. Keep buying the tickets.

Berona

Berona Report 13 Jan 2010 23:14

No Diane, I don't think anyone has heard how Alison is and we are all thinking of her.

If you are looking in, little Bush Kid, hope you are feeling better soon, if not sooner. Let us know when you can, but don't push yourself. Love from all of us.
