Good Morning Berona,

Hope you are full of beans today, and that the sun is shining.

As for saying I'm old - actually I said ancient - I thought it more honest to give some indication of my years. Someone might think I'm a spotty youth, then all those years of toil, sweat, blood and tears, and life experiences would count for nothing.
I wouldn't want anyone to think I was still wet behind the ears would I.........

CC - are you a Pom living in Australia, or a Pom living in England?
You are not alone on this thread. Wherever you are, there will be someone here to match you. Janet and Allan live in the west (Western Australia), Carole lives in Victoria, Alison in Queensland, Perse in New Zealand, and Linda, Pat and Diane in England, while Barbra is in Scotland - and of course, our Tec is in Wales.

I've missed someone, haven't I? Oh dear, trust me. My apologies
Oops! just remembered - it's Sue and myself in NSW!!! That's what I get for being polite!

Good morning/evening all

A bit difficult to get a word in here with Persey and Carole hogging the Thread earlier. :0)).

A warm welcome to CC ! I'll be back on the other thread soon, but please do be a regular poster here.

I have to say that all Ukranians are brilliant otherwise OH will be most upset. I got a Russian Bride without having to send of a mail order ( But please don't ever call a Ukranian a Russian)

If I had sent off I would have stamped the package..."Return To Sender" :0))

Berona, I'm pleased that you had a nice drive. Just being out of the unit for a while will make you feel so much better and restore your independence

Good morning Tec

Do you mean that you are not going to pass yourself of as a 20 year old Adonis in order to meet one of the delightful young ladies on this thread??

Berona Report 5 Feb 2010 21:41

Ancient????? You, ancient?? What does that make me?

Hope you and the duchess are well, Tec. I am fine. Still refreshed from my drive yesterday. I'm back on the treadmill again to get the legs properly mobile once more. Got to get back to practicing for our dance!

No, the sun is NOT shining - but I'm happy about that. It's "wet" outside. Can't really say it's raining, but it's wet. We have had the odd light shower just to keep it wet, but it may only be keeping the temperature down as it is forecast to be 28. I can live with that - except that the humidity seems to be high again.

Good morning Allan - hope you and your OH are both well?

I don't take long to type, but fiddle around checking the typing for so long, that others post a couple of times before I think to hit the Submit button!

Good morning Berona

Good evening Barbra

Berona, I have the same problem, but mine is down to slow typing!

I'm fine but OH is in a bit of pain, she has been overdoing it in the garden!

Hello Barbra, Hope you are well. How is your brother?

Nice to see you visiting us, and thanks for the compliment.

Good Morning Allan,

Hope you are well today,
I don't think I can pass myself off as a 20 year old anything, let alone Adonis, When I was a 20 year old Adonis, well I though so, I was entertaining young Australian girls - I can't still be at it.
I wonder where they all are?

Berona,
Glad you enjoyed your drive, I bet that did you good, and lifted your spirits too. It really does sound as if those legs of yours are making good progress - keep doing whatever it is you're doing, but don't over do it.
The Duchess at last found something suitable to wear to a wedding we are attending next week - so she is happy - and so am I - only God knows how happy I am that at last she's found something :))

Allan,
It's all very well having long legs - until they start to ache - then you've got lots more leg to ache.

In that case,Tec, I'll stick with my short ones.

They were giving me grief a couple of days ago from all the crouchin and kneeling I was doing while putting the pavers down!

I will just tiptoe in ever so quietly - you won't even know I'm here.
Will sit in the corner and not make a sound.

Me hog a thread -

C'est Moi, C'est Moi - I'm forced to admit but it's only because the rest of you don't appear at that time of day.

We have a double page spread on the fires in our paper today so I imagine our current affairs program tomorrow night will be doing a follow up like they did once before. What I really find hard to stomach in the middle of it all was those fires that were started deliberately. I shall never forgive the sods.

Hello Persey

Has some cad accused you of hogging the thread! take me to the bounder and I will give him a sound thrashing.

WA has just increased the penalties for people found guilty of deliberately starting bushfires. It can now lead to life in prison...and even that's too good for them

Good Morning Perse,

How are you today? skipping about like a six year old I expect.

We watched the coverage of those fires here on TV,and were horrified, I often think of the people that survived, but lost everything. Where are they now? Are they still in temp' caravan accommodation?
As for the beggers that started fires, well I just can't get my head around that.

We had a brilliant day here, clear blue sky and sunshine all day - rather cold, but made such a change from gloomy grey skies.

Persey, why would I have nuts in my ear?

You must be confusing me with someone else

Persephone Report 5 Feb 2010 22:53

Morning Tec

Oh to be a six year old again - actually I don't think I would really like to grow up in todays climate. I am not trying to hark back to the "Good Ole Days" but our childhoods were so different then - we were probably more innocent for a start. I think I am just glad to have been a teenager in the sixties - I am what they call in NZ - a baby boomer.

Allan - I was referring to your LJS persona about the nuts.

Persey

Edit: how on earth could I confuse you with anyone else? You are a real star on these threads.

Allan

Allan Report 5 Feb 2010 22:59

Persey....I know. I was just trying to confuse you LOL

I think that people of our age are reffered to as Baby Boomers in most areas. We have also been called the most selfish generation and have been blamed for most of the financial woes of the world!

Well someone has to take the blame! You cannot expect succesive governments to admit that they have had a major hand in reaching our current crisis

Hello Perse. By all means, join us. It must be near lunch time for you while I'm realising that I haven't had my breakfast cup of coffee yet. Might go and make it for morning tea. Come to think of it - that's a funny way to describe a cup of coffee, isn't it? Morning tea? I don't hear it referred to as Morning Coffee, and yet so many people prefer coffee to tea these days.
