No problem for me, either - and there are Internet cafes scattered around the state, too!
Just popped back while the mop heats up - to see if you are talking about me!

Phew - just read and read and read all the pages. I am on dial up so I could not get in one day and then the next time I just got finished helping a chap in Oz with his tree and then I was kicked into touch again.
Tried again last night - answered someone's request and the letter took flight but not to her. Hopefully normal service has resumed - course when on here no one can ring us. But the good news is Broadband in a couple of weeks - thank goodness.

Fluella - Sorry the All Blacks won - no flack from this Antipodean - Graham Henry was very disappointed in the result said we should've done better.

Prince Edward is here so he has been getting the "Welcome to Newz Ollund" treatment.

Glen Campbell is on his way - and I thought he had drunk himself into a stupor long ago.

Percy (I see my name has been used by another)

Well when I caught up I saw how I was nearly in some sort of sleeping arrangement with Colin. OH wants to know when he is coming over to collect me.

Then I thought I was in the alcoholics thread - even one of my tipples mentioned - and red wine in abundance as well.

Then oh sh** not what I wanted to see - I am so dreadfully sorry Alison, you are such an Ozzie Battler, I have been sitting here admiring your stamina and your way of looking at things when I read your posts. I am at a loss for words really – keep strong – wake up each morning (I know you are having trouble sleeping) and think positively, I know you will fight it with every strength of your being, being the bush kid that you are.

Love

Oh shucks, Perse, *blushes*. Thank you.

Thank you for the PM Carole - if I need help with my tree, I shall ask.

Have heard that the Oncologist is visiting our town on Thursday, so I'm hoping he can fit me in. Have been having pain, but so far, Panadol is working.

Hope you're all going ok. I have had contact again from a Campbell rele who is writing a book about the Campbells, so I'm providing what info I can on my g grandmother.

Keep On Keeping On!!

Berona Report 8 Nov 2009 04:59

Hello Perse - maybe you would like to join the sisterhood and help us keep Allan in check! He is breaking all hurdles records, jumping from one thread to another - giving this thread a reputation!

Not that Tec is any better. He's the quiet one. You don't realise he is there, and when you least expect it - he sneaks in!

Yes, we are all disappointed for Alison over the results she got on Friday, but again, we are all hoping that her specialist will have better news for her on Thursday. Hopefully, he will come up with something that will help.
Isn't she wonderful? I hope that if I get slugged like she has been, I can have the same attitude that she has. She is a brick - and her family must be very proud of their tough little bush kid! I know I'm very proud just to know her, even if it is only through cyberspace!

Hi Alison. Didn't know you were there. Looks like we both posted together.
I was going to ask how you are feeling, but you have already answered that. Good old Panadol. Hope it helps. I'm on 4 a day just for arthritis - but they do make me sleepy. I could take 8, but I'd never be awake!
My son swears by Panadeine Forte - he had two major bowel operations this last year and they got him through it. Thankfully not taking anything now - but they were good for him.

How is the family? Have they adjusted to the latest news? or is it still sinking in? I am crossing everything for you. Get onto them first thing and make sure you get to see that specialist! Take care.

Hi Berona and Alison

Sorry I only just got started on here and had to go and see what he wanted. Trying to sort his shed - I straightened it all out for him awhile back, he did not inherit his father's keep everything sorted mentality.

Then he was on here doing Trade Me - and then we had dinner - he has problems there as well - some down shirt front and some on clean table cloth, plus the place mat.

I am not much good at hurdling, or marathons to see what that Allan is upto - usually a good hard stare as in Paddington Bear is all it will take and he will be back to talking to the wheelie bins in no time.

Tec or is that Henrietta or Cicely etc - he is another matter, I could get my bear Curmudgeon to have a word with Marmite. He is a flying ace bear purchased from our helicopter rescue people - had a leather jacket, hat, goggles and scarf and could be over there in no time at all.

It is good Alison that Panadol works for you, as it is probably the one with the least side affects. I had to take codeine - I won't say what they do to me, though I saw on the threads the other day someone discussing just that sort of problem. And you make sure that the oncologist can fit you in - - not might fit you in - you tell them you are a priority as your presence is required in cyberspace.
I would keep everything crossed till Thursday - but that could be fraught with problems so I will definitely have fingers crossed each night before I lay me down to sleep. You look after yourself my sweet.

Luv

Perse

Good morning,

Oh dear, my head hurts. It was so cold at the bonfire last night and my kind host kept bringing me a lovely warm drink. OK it was mulled wine and I should have known better, but it was very cold.

And now Tec thinks that I am a hussy, oh dear in deed. Incidentally, I am not. OH and I have been married for thirty nine years and we still hold hands when we walk down the street.

Oh dear, oh dear.

Good morning Allan and Norma and the lovely Alison, although I don't think they are here now.

Oh dear, Norma is lovely as well of course. I am trying so hard to be careful with what I say.

Not that you aren't lovely Allan, but perhaps gallant and gentlemanly might be more apt.
