I agree, Tec... we've had the air con running all night, but unlike you we are use to the heat.
Its the hottest its been for this time of year since 1902, apparently!!!

Wow......looks like you're in for a hot summer, the weather everywhere is really weird.
We've had so much rain lately, and hailstones yesterday, but then it is going into winter here, and Wales is notoriously wet.

I was in Adelaide in the 70s when they had a State of Emergency because of a freak heatwave, causing the hospitals to fill up.

Well Carole, I'm off to bed now. Hope both your sick lads get better soon.

Bye for now,

Alison, If you look in I hope you had a good night, and feel ok today, thinking of you,

Hi Everyone,

I seem to pop on when you're all gone, or I pop on and then need to go to bed and miss everything!

Thank you for your good wishes. Not too bad a night - had to get up and have panadol at 12.30. I want to stay off the harder stuff for as long as possible, as I remember my Mum dying of cancer and being in horrific pain and the nurses telling her it was too soon to have more morphine.

I rang my Oncology nurses today and I get to see the doctor on Thurs at 6.40pm. This is one of the weeks he is here from Brissy. Yaaayyy. I hate going to the big smoke.

I hope everyone's spouses and children are getting better. Tec, I too, am concerned at the frequency of the Duchess' hypos.

On a happier note, the lass who is doing a book on the Campbells, emailed me a photo of my gg grandparents taken not long after they arrived in Aust in 1859. I was terribly excited!!

Do you know that one of the worst things about this stomach cancer bizzo, is that I have lost my appetite. I usually have a country or teenage boy appetite. Not any more alas.

Better go. Good day and Good Night everyone. Thank you for your messages. I get a real tickle out of them *waits for a one-liner from one of the lads*.

Nuns of course are not as easy to pick as in the old days. They don't even always walk in pairs. But look for ...
Ladies in longish skirts, sensible shoes, off-white blouse of a certain style and often a cardigan. And they usually wear some kind of badge symbolising their order, although this can be hard to identify.

Good Afternoon to Colin and Alison

Alison, Barbra has asked me to pass on her best wishes to you as she has been in the wilds of Lancashire hunting for black puddings for the last couple of days,

Good morning to Diane, and yes it was me on your Thread and yes I deleted....nothing controversial, but as I hadn't a clue what was going on thought that discretion was the better part of valour. I didn't want to post anything that people could take exception to

Regards

Allan
