I must admit, I thought that too Allan ,but I couldn't think of what else to say.
I think I need to lay down in a darkened room

Allan

Allan Report 8 Nov 2009 09:51

Linda, I think so too

That could be taken for a sign of weakness and I'm sure that Sue and Berona would not approve :0))

Weakness - I don't think so Allan. A couple of paracetamols will soon have me on top form again.

Methinks that mulled wine has a meady affect on Linda.

Her entrance to the boards this morning (tonight) was positively Shakespearean.

Oh woe woe and thrice woe she is feeling and thereby hangs a tale.

Evening Allan trust you will be staying on this thread now and not doing anything unethical.

Persephone

I'm off to the underworld but I will be very ethical

I trust that you are well this evening

I don't think my fingers have ever related themselves to my brain... they seem to have a will of their own when it comes to typing.

Nothing that a quick edit can't fix Allan.
I have lot's to do this morning. The answer phone at the cinema has broken and somehow whilst at the bonfire last night I seemed to have volunteered to get a new one (hmmm maybe that was why they were plying me with wine)

I have reserved a new one at good old Argos (a store which stocks everything for the benefit of the down unders) so have to go and collect that. OH wants to go to a DIY store as well because they are having a 20% off day and he has a long list of requirements. Then we have to go to mum's house to check that over, somewhere along the way we will fit in Sunday lunch in a pub.

Such a lot to do, if only I could get myself started.

As do mine Perse, as do mine!

I know what you mean about the typing Norma. My brain seems to be racing ahead,so I find myself typing letters which should be later in the word.

Allan

Allan Report 8 Nov 2009 10:11

Linda,

Why would a shop in the UK stock material for the benefit of us downunders??? :0))

Allan

Well it has an online catalogue and does home deliveries,so for a phenomenal postage rate, it might be of benefit to down unders.

I am off to waste loads of water having a nice long shower,to see if that will kick start my brain. Have a good sleep my friends, as it must be getting late for you now.

Allan

Happy shower, Linda

The night is probably only young for Allan as he seems to be dancing around the boards.
Sorry Allan I was on Sentry Duty when I caught you in the Nursery Rhymes.

Have a nice hot shower Linda and a lie down and we will talk to you later.

I am watching a Murder She Wrote movie set in Ireland - and on here during the commercial breaks, trouble is himself is nearly always on the puter as well.

My father certainly did.

He taught my children a few little gems.
He had a good sense of humour.

As here it is exactly 11am on Remembrance Sunday. I would like to dedicate the two minutes silence to all our ancestors who gave up their lives for us.
Specifically my mother’s uncle Verdi Wood, who died on 12th Oct 1916 and my OH’s uncle Eric Bradley who died on 1st Nov 1942

Also to the memory of all those who sadly no longer have any one to remember them.

In fact when I went to look for you on your ethics thread and called out, that reminded me of my father. The whole street would here him yell out my name (about the only time he used my exact name otherwise I was George, Charlie or Hori Joe) and he would then take a switch off the hedge and would be trimming the leaves off it when I would come running home and into the far side of the drive. I would run down the drive holding on to my backside and you could hear the swish/whip sound of the switch. Needless to say it never ever touched me. This would happen time after time....
