I am going to the post office to collect a parcel - and I'm not in a very good mood about it.

Found two cards in my mailbox dated 4/11 and 10/11 telling me that an attempt was made to deliver a parcel (book) and that I wasn't home. Now, I have to make my way to the post office and pick it up myself! Seems that the first card was put in the wrong box and a neighbour has put it in my box.

On both of those dates, I was home all day and nobody came to my front door or I would have heard them!..I've seen this before - I actually watched a courier stop his van outside my home once, then he sat there writing, then got out of his van and walked towards my mailbox. I went to the front door and opened it in time to see him getting back in his van - and he drove off. Too hard to get the parcel out and walk those few extra steps to my front door! They won't waste time waiting for the door to be answered - they just 'dump and run' - which defeats the whole purpose of purchasing by mail order, doesn't it?

If I can easly find my way to the post office, park my car and walk the rest of the way, then I can walk around shops and do my own purchasing - and save on postage!

All's well with my son and OH, my OH doesn't have arthritis, I spoke to his doc..
Ive made him an appointment for next Wed, to see what can be done for the pain and swelling.

We are still having terribly hot weather, today is 31c.

It's a terrible night here, worse forecast tomorrow, up to 80mph winds, maybe we will have the sea in the kitchen.
Don't know about Swine Flu Jab. We are both on the high risk list, but I reacted badly to the ordinary flu jab a few weeks ago, and was rough for a week after, so rather puts me off this new one.
I do question whether it's been adequately tested?
