I think that I shall also depart now that my Ally has retired.

Have a fantastic day Berona

Good night Tec. Pleasant dreams (if you can). If you wake up wondering if you have wet the bed - start swimming!....Perhaps you should wear a life jacket to bed just in case?

I must be off now, too. There are some things to be done around here, but I'll be keeping an eye on you, Allan. I'm not going far.

Alison - take care and have a good day.

Diane - hope you are feeling better soon.

Thank you Barbra.........
We haven't been washed or blown away yet - poured with rain all night, and wind was horrendous at times but there seems to be a lull at the moment..........I am not brave enough to go beach combing. I did mention that I might....and the Duchess retorted -

"Are you completely mad".........no answer to that.

Good morning Tec

The weather sounds horrendous.

I hope that all is ok

Good Evening Allan,
We're fine thanks, very stormy night, but no damage here - few trees down in the area.
I think the worse is over, though it's still very dark.

I think Mother may be home today.....so brace yourself:)))

Well I'd better find something to do - carefully avoiding the words paint, and dining room.........

Enjoy the rest of your evening - catch you later,

Tec

Tec,

I'm pleased that there has been no damage.

I saw a Thread earlier on the boards about the weather in the UK and it seeems to be pretty general!

I'm glad the the Duchess is up to making sarcastic remarks....it shows that all is well :0))

Where is everybody? What's wrong? Are you in hiding?

Well, I'm bright and bushy-tailed - even if you're not! I've been out and about for an hour or so now - watered pots, etc. - we expect at top of 33 to-day, so it's hard to imagine the wind and rain which you are getting Tec. Hope it subsides very soon! and I agree with the duchess - you would have to be mad to go beach-combing in that!

Good Everything Everyone.

I haven't run away without you - as if I would

Tec

Neither would I Tec

I have just replied to Uzzi on the other Thread in a similar manner.

Speaking of manners, good morning/evening to all

Good evening Barbra and Tec - good morning Allan (is the sun up yet where you are, Allan?). Been walkies, have you? How are the bins this morning?

No Barbra, I knew they wouldn't be on a cruise yet without me - I'm going to be half-owner of the cruiser, and we haven't bought it yet. Still buying tickets in the lotteries.

Good Morning Berona, Allan,
Evening Barbra...........
and Diane if you're in there.

What a day this has been,
What a strange mood I'm in,
It's almost like being in love................

Good morning Berona,

The Sun is up and has his hat on. It begins to get light now at 4:30 am.

The bins were really chatty this morning, but, as usual, most of what they say is rubbish.

Good evening to Barbra and Tec

Barbra, I've bin to Ilkley Moor Ba'tat

Allan

Tecwyn Report 14 Nov 2009 21:50

Haven't checked the lottery numbers yet - I could be sitting here worth millions.....wouldn't care if I was, it'll keep 'till Monday,

Allan what were you doing on IIkley Moor without your hat on a day like today?

Berona hope you've got the AC fired up, how do you cope with that heat?

Tec

Allan

Allan Report 14 Nov 2009 21:55

Barbra, is your OH retired and does he have any hobbies?

Tec, I was looking for worms, but the ducks beat me to them!

Berona, as well as the beannie, could you please knit me a pair of socks?

If you use eight needle you could do them both at once :0)))

Allan

Berona

Berona Report 14 Nov 2009 21:59

I just pick the numbers at random, Barbra. That's when I remember to buy a ticket!

Tec - it's easy. I get up early and get things done early. Even shopping is done as soon after opening time as I can manage it. Then, from lunch time, I stay indoors, and when I begin to feel hot, I switch on the aircon. After that, I have no idea of what it's like outside. Once the sun goes down, (at present about 7:30pm) it's amazing how much cooler it becomes and I can often switch the aircon off. I never need to have it on overnight once the house has been cooled - although I know some people do.

Barbra,
Variety of reasons for someone acting out of character - maybe unwell, but saying nothing - men do that. Could be worried about something.
Could be mood swings, sometimes a side effect of certain medications
Could be depression that given time will lift.

We all get a bit down sometimes, usually it passes,

Allan - you've been reading other threads, haven't you? Eight needles? bl...y h..l!....I take it you don't do any knitting???

Berona

Berona Report 14 Nov 2009 22:05

Barbra - although they won't admit it, men do have a change of life and it doesn't hurt to have a checkup. Send him off to the Doc for the first of what should be regular yearly checkups.
