Bye Alison,

I am off to bed as well, so goodnight everyone. Stay safe and don't go venturing off this thread, there are some nasty people on the prowl tonight

Allan

Bye Alison, Take care,

I'm not going anywhere........

Allan Report 15 Nov 2009 23:12

No Tec, just reading some of the Threads on the other Boards.

There are some particularly nasty ones and the usual guff about wind-up merchants.

they make good reading but I haven't posted on any of them today

Allan

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Nov 2009 23:20

I can't be bothered even reading them Allan. It just makes me sad that people sit in their living rooms being spiteful to other people.
If they realise it's a windup, why respond at all?

Pleased to say that since I've been posting on this thread nobody has come on being nasty or spiteful. Maybe because the people that post here are not known on other threads for responding to arguement sp

No, I haven't been saturating my plants - or wetting them! I had an early morning visitor with the same thing in mind as I have - get it all done early!
So far, no sign of the dreaded heat - but it is early yet.

Must go and have alook at the other threads. Sure as I don't bother to look in on them, I miss something.

Allan

Allan Report 15 Nov 2009 23:28

Tec what amuses me is that the so-called bad guy stops posting after a while, but all the others carry on and don't realise that they've gone, then when the Tread gets whooshed everybody starts posting individual Threads to complain about the Whooshing!

There has only been one nasty post on here when a certain "gentleman" followed SueMaid from another Thread onto here, but it was only a couple of posts and not seen him since.

I certainly don't respond on Threads that are nasty or vindictive, I just like to have a chuckle, so only post where there appears to be a bit of humour around

There is a funny side to it all really, maybe an injection of humour at an appropriate is no bad thing, and maybe break the mood.

Well, I have to go off to bed now, off to entertain the medics in the morning, and have to get back in time for the gas man who's coming to service the boiler............mad day.

So Enjoy Monday Allan,
and you too Berona.............

Goodnight my friends

Berona Report 15 Nov 2009 23:45

Goodnight Tec. Sorry I haven't been here much because I was 'entertaining', and then I had to have a look at other threads. I didn't bother to finish looking at them - same old, same old, as they say.

That 'nuisance' who tried to bother us once before has been conspicuous by his absence since, and that's OK by me. At that time, we lured him over to another thread and talked over the top of him like he wasn't there, and he went away. I suggest that if he comes back on here, we treat him like that. These people like to be the centre of attention and definitely don't like to be ignored. One answer, and they have scored!

Yes, I'll stay here, thanks. I read all others and post on some - but not on the contentious ones. They don't interest me.

Allan

Allan Report 15 Nov 2009 23:47

I agree with you, Berona

And now I must go.

I hope that your day does not become too hot

Regards

Oh gosh, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside - oh hang on - that could be the Red Rooster I just had.

Well, my physio has to order a size down in the compression sleeve for my Lymphoedema, cos I have indeed lost weight in the arm. I just hope that when I go to pick this lot up, I haven't lost more weight and therefore need the next size down again!

They get cranky on those other threads don't they? I don't like to read swear words, well the "f" one anyway.

Shall see ya'all later dudes!

I fell for a WUM on what had been a pleasant enough thread, and worse, attacked the whiley with an r beast. Got a torrent of abuse, and a lot of lies about how I am up to my old tricks.
I have requested review but I don't expect GR to respond.
I am not doing any genealogical research on this site anyhow, and am quite happy to use Ancestry.
I feel awful.

Alison

Alison Report 16 Nov 2009 02:46

Don't worry about it, Colin. Some people seem to thrive on antagonism. I rarely post on those, just read and shake my head. I think we're more dinky-di here!

Alison

Alison Report 16 Nov 2009 02:47

How is your OH, Colin?

Berona

Berona Report 16 Nov 2009 04:32

You didn't see it coming, did you Colin? I must have a warped sense of humour, because I got a laugh out of it. Poor Colin. You'll learn!

Not long ago, nine suspensions were handed out. Two were 24 hrs, most of them were one month - and guess who got the longest stint?

Sydneybloke

Sydneybloke Report 16 Nov 2009 04:52

OH is doing really well. The current thinking is vaso-vagal, and she has been told to drink a lot more water. She is so far very obedient, and hasn't had a problem, except lots of nocturnal visits to the little girl's room (quiet giggle). Even the epilepsy seems to have settled down.
Last night we went out to dinner, at a club at Kirribilli. Harbour views, glimpses of Lavender Bay, the SHB and the Anzac Bridge. Pleasant, and good food, too. Salt and pepper squid is her standard order, I had stir fried chicken. And creme brulee for dessert. Very naughty. very nice.

I have changed my site names. I still live in Sydney. 2101 is where my parents lived when I was born and I lived there for a few years as an infant.
For some reason GR would not accept Tom of St Leonards as a site name. It is where I was born (Royal North Shore Hospital-- in the old cottages, which is what passed for maternity in 1948.)
All was not lost. I got a PM from Mel, who I had tried to defend against the insults posted by some very nasty people, and I think she it is genuine.
