Have I been left on my own to cope with the terrible two? Wonder where Diane is? Please hurry home, Sue.

Allan Report 16 Nov 2009 23:12

Tec,

I woke up at 1.00am today with bad cramp in my right calf.

I'm limping around the bedroom trying to get rid of the pain.

OH wakes up and asks : "What are you doing?"

To which I rather tersely replied that I was practising a Red Indian War Dance

Allan,
I had a most delightful afternoon, lying on a bed with two very pretty young nurses hovering over me for 90 minutes, then along came a doctor and said I could get dressed........oh well.

Tomex - may I call you Tom, I keep thinking of Tom Mix, but you wouldn't remember him.
Do you think the populated "fringe" of the Continent will, or is, getting wider as the population grows?

Berona,

I think that even Sue has abandoned you.

Sue has probably left the Country!

Bye Berona,
Treadmill?.......are you a hamster?

Allan,
That cramp is hell on legs isn't it - I get it sometimes, and hate it. Makes me nervous because I once had a DVT start like that, and that in turn went into a pulmonary embolism, which I believe you also know about.

Did your OH believe you? did she just turn over and go back to sleep, or did she get up, make tea, and cossett you? just wondering.

Tec,

I was told to stop making such a fuss, and then OH promptly went back to sleep!

Are you sure your OH and mine are not sisters?

Tec,

If it wasn't for the fact that I have known myOH a very long time, they could well be related :0))

Well, I have finished the emails to Janey and now the garden, or what's left of it calls.

We are taking advantage of a cooler change in the weather.

Regards to all

Tec - you make me sound like a mouse on a plastic ferris wheel!
I've done another ten minutes on the treadmill. Very boring.

Everything I like to do requires me to sit down to do it - reading, writing, computer, watching TV, craft, etc., so once the sweeping, dusting and watering is done, (in stages, of course) I have to turn to the treadmill - but still don't lose any weight!

I think the female of the species are programmed not to take us seriously,
are they taught this by their mothers? or is it a genetic fault?

Pity they've all run away, so there cannot answer.

Not wishing to harp on about my decrepid state, but I was once flat on my back on the lawn having a heart attack.....a bad one......
My darling daughter who was home at the time, stuck her head out of the patio door to enquire if I wanted A CUP OF TEA.......

Yes please dear.... two sugars - no biscuits......

I'm leaving you too. Not going anywhere - but time to do some transcribing - or FreeBMD will never finish! Night, Tec. Hope you and the duchess have a peaceful night.
Happy gardening, Allan. Might do some of that myself, later. Yesterday got to 35 here, but to-day is cloudy and only expecting 23.....'bye.

Bye Allan,
Enjoy your day, don't work too hard on that garden,

Berona, I have to admit, I did have a mental picture of you in a plastic wheel whizzing round and round.........stupid demented man

Well everyone has gone to bed, or out to play......
I too must go to bed as it's nearly midnight,

Enjoy your day down under....
Sleep well up top......

Diane, If you look in, I hope very much that you are feeling better,
sleep well and take care.

Goodnight my friends

I thought I would sneak in whilst Brits are asleep and at peace with the world.

Just to say Hi - sort of caught up with the thread last night - our computer had to go to the puter shop. OH has been on here forever trying to download a security package - it takes 9 hours and then falls over. The help desk is very good but in the end he had had enough and told them that he may as well shoot himself. All is hopefully okay from now on.

Will be back again later.

Tec, it was a poor attempt. Tom ex 2101, where 2101 is an Aussie post code.
I couldn't have Tom of St Leonards which is where I was born. I didn't realise you couldn't have spaces any more.
I don't remember Tom Mix but my dad used to talk about him. Tom Mix and his horse, Cement. Tom Mix 'n Cement for short. I remember Hopalong Cassidy (just) and of course Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger and Wyatt Earp.
