Sue - it seems a little cooler here to-day and thunderstorms are forecast - but no sign of them as yet. Plenty of cloud cover but the sun is peeping through it all.

No washing up liquid either? Linda

That is something poor people that don't have a dishwasher have to use

My daughter thinks we are very quaint.....young people...humph...

That reminds me of the old fashioned wooden toilet seats in the yard Alison, where there were two next to each other

I think we have talked about this before

Tec, I think we'll splash out on a new stove, I've had to replace 2 of the hotplates. It's not even 10 years old.

I'm not too bad today thank you LInda. Had some panadol at 4.40 this morning and a maxolon (anti nausea) at 7.00.

I think we're expecting a top of 37 today. Ick. Air con day - again.

I'm hoping my certs from England arrive today. I get so excited!

Will there be an after show party?

Alison

Alison Report 29 Nov 2009 23:19

Oh Linda, the thunder boxes?!!!

Was your Mum's house ok after all of that rain?

Hopefully if we go down to the Sunshine Coast for my radiation, then we can work some more on Dad's house. I'm anxious to sell it and set up my boys for "after".

I got a cert the other day as well Alison, for my great grandfather, the correct one finally. I found the info I needed in one of the transcription books I ordered. I just need to find his wife now. Mum was adamant that she died when she was in her early teens, but i just can't find a registration in the correct area

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Nov 2009 23:22

Mum's house was fine, apart from a drain being blocked on the drive. It just gets leaves in it, but the lovely next door neighbour will clear it out as soon as it stops raining. It is still lashing down here. There are nineteen flood warnings for North Yorkshire tonight.

Linda the tickets will be complimentary!

Every five minutes they will tell you how nice you're looking.

Alison! That thought never entered my head. Well it did, but didn't stay there.

Yep a Back Stage Party will be held!

Not thunder boxes Alison, they were ash toilets, so didn't flush

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Nov 2009 23:24

And are we invited to the party? or is it just for the stars of the show?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2009 23:27

Not wishing to lower the tone,
but the place my friend owned that now belongs to the NT, had a toilet built over a fast running stream,
Whatever dropped into the stream and was carried away.......oohh ugh,

Alison - what kind of work are you talking about doing on your Dad's house? You worry me, talking about work while you're getting treatment.

Might it not be better to sell it as is? You could then do what you wanted with the money and get it out of the way. The extra you might get could be offset by investing it now and earning interest.

Alison Report 29 Nov 2009 23:28

It's so long ago for me Linda, that I can't remember and I was just a kid. I do remember we had one near the shed and a big wind storm blew it over. Luckily, we were modern by then and had an inside loo. Phew!
