Oh and good morning to Allan, though trying to get Sue to take back Perse's star is naughty. Anyway she doesn't need it as she is a star in her own right.

Persephone

Persephone Report 1 Dec 2009 09:26

Thank you Linda

So there Allan!!! I am a star in my own right - just that I keep exiting stage left and tripping over pumpkins and trolls.

Personality she's got personality.

SueMaid Report 1 Dec 2009 09:29

Hi, Linda. My phone often starts ringing about 9 am our time and I spend half the morning answering the phone which often leads to me having to make more calls.

I don't know what's happened but I went out to the shops around lunch time and there was a commotion in one of the streets. There was an ordinary police care, a paddy wagon and a big police truck. Lots of police in work clothes. Looked like a drug raid but they hadn't closed the road off. Must get the paper tomorrow and see if there's any news.

You are not allowed to bbq them! They are needed for your performance.

I am off out to do various tasks and then reward myself with lunch. I suppose that I had better take OH as well, he can always carry the shopping.

Bye for now.

Berona Report 1 Dec 2009 11:06

Who's blaming the sisterhood for what? I just got here. Not guilty!

Not staying here with these protagonists (I think I spelled it right).

Allan seems to be in fine form - and it's still early where he is. You poor Poms!

I'm going to bed. Don't talk too much please - it makes me late talking to you in the morning when I have a lot to read first!

Good night Australasians. Hope you Poms have a good day. (It does seem like we are doing this back to front, doesn't it?).

Bye.

I just spotted this on Tips,so have put it here in case it is of use.

Ancestry have finished transcribing the missing years for deaths, although it doesn't appear as such.

If you choose the 1984-2005 section, it changes into 1916-2005.

I have just found a death which I have been looking for for ages. I have just ordered the cert, which hopefully will turn out to be the correct one this time.

It will probably take them a few days to change the search box, which is what happened when all the marriages suddenly appeared.

edit, I am in seventh heaven here because I am finding so many and lot's of them have the exact dates of birth on them (well as exact as the informant knew)

SueMaid Report 1 Dec 2009 19:49

Good morning/evening lovely people.

I've been waiting for this on Ancestry. It will hopefully clear up a couple of mysteries. Thanks Linda.

I'm off to get my hair done today - something I always enjoy. So I won't be on here for long. I know you'll all miss me but do try to carry on:-))

I found out yesterday that my mum has been taking her cordless phone out to the shops with her thinking that it's a mobile phone. I explained the difference to her but it was near impossible to keep a straight face. It caused a lot of hilarity at home when I told OH - we couldn't stop giggling at the thought. Horrible I know but at least I was able to keep from laughing when I explained things to mum.

Seventh Heaven eh........well I hope it's warm there. I'm freezing my socks off here.
I do hope that when I join Ancestry I will find all these exciting facts.

Drove to the shops this morning, got out of the car and a raw wind off the Irish Sea nearly ripped my face off, and it was so bitterly cold I thought I was standing there in my underclothes - I wasn't of course, just felt like it.

Anyway, the good news is that having spent the afternoon lying on the bathroom floor, swearing, cursing and muttering, normal service has been resumed. We can now take baths, showers, etc, like normal people........bliss.

Well, that was my day, trust that everyone is transfixed and riveted in awe at this account of another day in the life of Joe Egg.

Tec

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Dec 2009 20:15

Do I hear a note of bitterness in your account, Tec? I'm afraid that your day sounds much like ours at times. Much of yesterday was taken up with mundane tasks such as tidying the front verandah and the spare room which has become a dumping place for everything that doesn't have a specific place. Putting the car in for a service, picking up some groceries and answering the infernal phone. Makes for a great day:-))

Good Morning Sue,
I expect you will emerge from the hairdressers looking even more glamourous and exotic than you normally do.

Don't be long - you must be back in time for Perse and Allan taking their curtain call.......no heckling.

I was thinking of all that police activity in your neighbourhood yesterday. Do you suppose they were looking for Berona? but in the wrong area?

Tec

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Dec 2009 20:23

I never thought of that, Tec. I'm sure there's more to Berona than we see on here so it's quite possible that she is the one they were looking for. I'll read the paper this morning and let you know what it was all about. Of course it could be top secret and then we'll never know:-))

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2009 20:31

I think Berona's working for the Russians. All these trips to the shops early in the morning - she's making drops in a dead letterbox.

Makes one wonder about Allan too??????????
