Tec, My aplogies

I was checking Outlook when I managed to close down my internet connection.

There is a shopping centre within a few minutes walk of our place with a large supermarket.

The nearest large shopping centre is in Bunbury about 7 kms from us. That has a couple of supermarkets and a large general store

Allan

Tecwyn Report 30 Nov 2009 23:37

Really our nearest centre for department stores would be Chester 80 miles, Llandudno and Bangor are expanding and some of the bigger stores are moving there, thats also 80 miles,

Mostly we find what we want with a forty mile radius for general everyday goods

The peace and quiet is worth it

Hello all

Sorry Ive not been on for a couple of days, I hope you are all well.

OH has been unwell, he actually came home from work last Friday around lunch time looking very poorly indeed. It was some sort of stomach bug, he's well now and back to his normal grumpy self, hey ho!!!

The children are almost finished School for the year, my daughter in year 10 finishes this Friday, but my youngest doesn't finish till the 18th.

Next week I intend to start my Christmas shopping, its grumpy's birthday on the 17th so Ive got to try and think of something special, what do you buy someone who has everything???

We have been having lots of rain (sorry to those up north) They are talking about lessening the water restrictions, which I think is a very bad idea so I will continue to save our precious resource!!

Tec.. Sorry to read that the Duchess has been unwell, I hope you get something sorted with her hypo's soon:-)) (((((hugs for you both))))

Alison..I hope you are well, thinking of you sweet lady :-))
((((gentle hugs))))

Allan...I'm enjoying your panto on general :-)) you always make me smile!

Love to, Sue, Linda, Berona, Persey, Diane, Janet and Pat and all others that drop in :-))

Hi Folks,

I'm on later than usual. I had my Minister and his wife visit (no, Allan, not Kevin Rudd and Therese). I've been talking to them about "me funeral". I'm not giving up - I'm just looking into things.

Having said that, I am off to Nambour next week for an appointment on Tuesday about my radiation. Don't know when it will start, Tuesday is for a consultation and planning. We intend to travel down on Monday.

Hello to all - nice to see Diane and Carole back on again.

Good one Allan - "Don't get wrapped up in your work" !!!!!!!!!

Chuckle chuckle
Bye!

Berona Report 1 Dec 2009 04:57

Hello Carole and Alison. You might be gone again by now, but it's nice to see you post.

Alison, how does it make you feel when you have the clergy visit you? I had that when my OH was ill and I wasn't comfortable with it. We had a few different ones visit us, as he was involved in civic things and knew them from there. However, if you want to get everything settled, I suppose you would be able to do that and put it behind you.

I have put my wishes in writing and given a copy to my daughter so that I don't have to think about it. I have no intention of departing for many a year yet, but it could happen tomorrow just as it can with anyone, I suppose - so it's all taken care of and out of the way. I don't think about it any more. I think my children appreciate that they know what I want too and when I see whole families wiped out on the way to a picnic and other things like that, I'm glad I've taken care of everything.

Hi All,

Did not have time to get on here earlier, and no I have not been banned from the other thread Allan.

I really only like going to church when they do the stories with the fuzzy felts. My OH's uncle (now deceased) was an Archdeacon - and my daughter when she was three was looking at some photos of him (with him) and there was one of him in a long purple robe and she asked him if he was the Pope.

Me not scared Sue.

Hey Persey - the last person who said they aren't scared of me lived to regret it:-))))

So nice to see you Carole, Diane and Alison.

Berona we "sorted ourselves out" awhile back, told the children where to find everything they needed and promptly put it to the back of our minds.

Actually the black belt ties up my dressing gown.

Have had my tea - cold roast beef and salad. It went from cool to bleedin' hot today and our hot may not be a high temp but it is so so sticky.

Himself has just read Gorky Park (they had to get it out of the bowels of the library for him) - now he has got the DVD out so am off to watch that with him. Believe Linda calls it quality time.

Probably be back in the morning. Though I could go back on the stage for a command performance later on. As Allan says it is the smell of the grease paint that lures one.

Good morning everyone.

Sue,I am sorry that I rushed off last night. I saw your post come up just as I said goodnight, but just as I was going to reply, the phone rang and by the time I had finished with that, the thread had moved on.

Carol, I am sorry that your husband has been ill. When you work out what to buy for your Mr Grumpy, let me know because I haven't got a clue what to get for mine either. His birthday is in mid January which makes it even worse

Good to see you Diane, maybe you need your own lap top. you could write a letter to Santa asking for one. You would only get it if you had been a good girl all year. That rules me out, so I have just ordered one for myself!

I think that you are very sensible in getting things sorted out Alison, though I hope you will not need them for many a long year yet, just as Berona said. The friend I was telling you about (who is still doing well) spent time making two boxes for her sons. She gathered up all the sentimental items etc. She enjoyed doing it and she could manage it when she couldn't face doing other things. I think that it is an excellent idea which I keep meaning to do. there are so many little things from my children's childhood which could easily go astray.

There seems to be an armed woman wandering around the thread. Do we need to send for the police?
