Hello Sue, your son's health is more important than a job. Hopefully he will get something soon and in the meantime, I am sure that the bank of mum and dad will help out!

Looks like you all got off to an early start! Good evening and good morning to you all!

Beautiful morning here. Possible showers later, but I ignore that - it usually doesn't happen. Sorry it's still cold enough to snow, Tec - but you have to admit that snow is lovely to look at - as long as you don't have to go out in it!

Reading through the posts, I notice that Allan brought up the subject of Vets. I have now put that idea in storage for when Sue goes away again and he gets ideas of tripping off to other threads. I've always found that neutering the cats keeps them home!

Good evening/morning all

Is it safe to come out of hiding, or does Linda still have that rolling pin in her hand?

I mean most people get splinters...but a full rolling pin??

Sue, I'm sure that your son will soon find another position: and Linda is right, no job is worth losing your health for.

That's why OH finally walked out on her job as a School Officer. A new Prinipal and a new Registrar made life so difficult for the admin staff that of all the people who OH worked with for over 15 years, very few are now still working at that particular school.

Tec, is the snow still around? I keep looking at the long range weather forecast (well for a week ahead). It showed rain for next Wednesday and Thursday. Then the update shows Wednesday and Thursday as fine and 38c and possible rain on Friday!

Hello to CC

I have sent a pm to Elizabeth with my best wishes for Alison

Good evening Allan, you are quite safe from the rolling pin. Berona and I are walking round with snippers instead

Good morning Berona, my apologies. I didn't see you there.

I was too busy keeping an eye on Linda! :0))

However, I must advise you both that OH beat you to it many years ago and now has a nice pair of earings. People often ask her where the stones came from !!

That's just one of the many extra things Linda and I learned at our Swiss Finishing School. They don't call them 'finishing schools' for nothing, you know!

Are you sure it was done properly Allan? If so, why do you wander off like you do? Maybe we should have another go at you just to be certain!

Good Morning Berona, and Allan.
Good Evening Linda,

Allan - Rampant women on the loose with snippers, doesn't bear thinking about - Can I lend you a suit of armour?

Just been in the garden with the dog - two inches of snow, and snowing like mad - everywhere white again.

When's the next flight to Oz?

*emerges waving a white flag*

Barlies!

Tec we could do a house swap if you like!

Allan

Tecwyn Report 19 Feb 2010 22:19

Allan I think you might need something stronger than a white flag to protect you from a fate worse than death.

I would be happy to swap houses, but these girls with evil intentions might arrive and think I'm you - and I can't run as fast as you.

Don't worry, Tec, they won't confuse us!

You are suave and debonair

I am crass and unsophisticated (the batteries in my Magic Mirror have gone flat again)

I could do with one of them Allan. where do you buy them?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Feb 2010 22:38

Suave and debonair was a long time ago - then I was only kidding myself

These days Crumpled and Creased would be more correct,

Allan

Allan Report 19 Feb 2010 22:40

Linda, I got mine from the local Joke Shop.

I don't think that it is real because most of the time it justs hangs there, with a big smirk.

When you ask it a question it replies "I need time to reflect on that!"
