Good Day to you Linda,

It's a lovely sunny day here too. Got up this morning to find that the snow that fell last night had frozen. It is now beginning to melt, although still everywhere is white.

The farmer was up on the mountain this morning feeding the sheep. I expect they can't get to the grass beneath the frozen snow.

I'm supposed to be doing all sorts of things, but as I seem to have been overwhelmed by an acute attack of lazyitis - nothing much is getting done.
I don't seem to function in very cold weather.

My grand daughter just phoned, she has been out horse riding in frozen Shropshire. How nice to be young and fit, and oblivious to the cold.

I may while away the afternoon trying to make sense of my complicated ancestors - or I make do some more work on my life story. So far only upto age 21, so a bit to go. This is something old men seem to do - possibly not of interest to anybody, but I shall do it anyway.

None of this will require any energy, or physical exertion - so that's ok.

Does anyone know what's for dinner?

Felicitations to you all,

Tec

Dinner is Italian sausage and potato bake. Don't know what is Italian about it though. It is chopped up bits of real sausage (not the ghastly supermarket things) tiny new potatoes, small chunks of ciabatta, whole unpeeled garlic cloves, tossed in virgin olive oil, with lots of paprika and fresh rosemary from the garden. All baked in a covered casserole. Sounds strange, but trust me, it is very Anyway,I am cook,so you will get what you are given

That sounds quite nice, I may try it some time, without the paprika as OH doesn't care for that taste.
We are having smoked haddock today with new potatoes, carrots and green beans (frozen)

I wouldn't eat what I was given if I didn't like it - so there.

If I was standing over you with the rolling pin you would

Good morning/evening every one

Oh Gawd, the dreaded rolling pin. I must admit that they are a bit like a magic wand.

Wave one about and it is suprising what you can change...even men sometimes.

Tec your current weather sounds ideal. I used to love those clear crisp days of winter: mind you it is nearly 30 years ago and the memory plays strange tricks!

Berona, did you go for your drive?

I had a pm from Persey who is still in a bit of discomfort, mainly from the boot with it being so heavy

Hello Allan, you are not in danger tonight,at least until I read your next post probably

Good evening to the Brits and good morning Aussies. Saw Allan on the Home and Away thread. If he doesn't behave, I'll accuse him of being a devotee!

Hello Berona, did you get out for your drive?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Feb 2010 21:46

Good Morning Sue - Allan - Berona,
Good Evening Linda,

Hope everyone is well today,

Allan, The cold crispy weather is nice - I did stir myself into taking my dog for a walk, it was cold but invigorating.

Linda, Put that rolling pin away - Allan and I are neither scared or intimidated.

Berona Report 20 Feb 2010 21:47

Yes, Linda and Allan - I went for a lovely drive. It was so good to get out and see the world - (well, the road, anyway!). Yesterday was beautiful weather, but heated up a little too much in the afternoon (reached 31) and I believe to-day is shaping up to be the same only perhaps a little hotter later on. Beautiful at the moment, but it's not yet 9am.

Good morning Sue. I was that busy sticky beaking at other threads that I missed your post.

Berona, a devotee of Home and Away I am not! I can stand accused of many things and will cheerfully admit to them, but not THAT one :0))

Linda I promise to be on my best behaviour........................right up to the moment when I can leap upon an innocently posted remark, and completely twist its tail around (or should that be tale?)

I am glad that you managed to get out Berona.

Tec, are you really trying to tell me what to do????

Allan

Allan Report 20 Feb 2010 21:58

Tec, you offered me some sage advice yesterday.

Let me return the favour

Remember that Linda is an ex-member of the teaching profession.

Do you remember what used to happen if you talked back to one of your teachers; I do and I still can't loog a pair of gym shoes in the eyes or even the eyelets

Tecwyn Report 20 Feb 2010 21:59

Hi Berona,
Glad you enjoyed your drive, good to see what the outside world is up to.

Hi Allan,
I've never seen Home and Away, it's on daytime TV here, and I never watch that. There is a dreadful soap here called Eastenders, I avoid that like the plaque, never seen such a lot of miserable unhappy people.

Linda.... I would never have the temerity to tell you what to do, but would rather respectfully suggest that you place the offending article in it's rightful place, and stop wielding it around the heads of the two harmless young men that provide you with endless entertainment on this thread.

Goodevening / morning all
I think today is my last as my membership would have been renewed on the 21st.

Thank you Berona I hope the detail's in my contact's do stay as I haven't got time to right all the detail's in them that I want to keep.

Tec the hail we had ( not snow ) was also frozen here this morning, and so was very slippy to walk to work, Sorry to hear you have a acute attack of Lazyitis lol, I get that every day but can't carry it out with haveing to go to work.

Hi Sue hope you are well today and have got over your bug.

Linda I'm glad I'm not Dining at your's, don't like the sound of that rolling pin.

Morning Allan how's you hun, well I hope.

Yes Allan,
I have memories of many an encounter with members of the teaching profession - many appeared to have a psychotic hatred of youth, and used their position to exercise their sadistic natures.

I would not of course include our sweet, demure, lovely Linda in that bracket.........she is a self proclaimed pussy cat.

Tec

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Feb 2010 22:11

Well I have never been called sweet and demure before.

I have never used a slipper Allan, the "look" and a loud voice sufficed
