KGB = Keep Going Berona.

Sorry just been reading the thread after treading the panto boards. Had to get up off the floor after reading about your mum Sue. One shouldn't giggle I know - but it was funny.

It's a miserable wet day here - after a bright sticky sunny afternoon yesterday - certainly dampens things down a bit. So I really will stay in today and do my accounts as did not get around to it the other day. Procrastination is my middle name.

We have a section in our morning paper where people write in little funnies - it is called Side Swipe and yesterday this chap had written in about how several years ago his young friend in Singapore experiencing her first overseas boat voyage to Sarawak. All went well until filling in the re-entry form asking, "Are you a natural-born resident of Singapore?" Honesty invited the response: " No, I am caesarean."

Yes Linda and Tec, I must join Ancestry as it looks the right thing to do they keep asking me - I have had a couple of people invite me on - but think I need to do the full Monty.

Cheers

Persephone Procrastination Bo Peep.

Good Evening Diane,
Good Morning Perse,

Diane - enjoy your tea, hope it's something tasty, and warm.
Saw an item on a new museum opening in Liverpool, to do with transport, looked interesting. I love Liverpool, fascinating history, and the people are great too.....always got on with them and their humour.

Perse, I've been following your thespian antics - you've obviously missed your vocation on the stage, and robbed us all of a good laugh. I can imagine you with Joanna Lumley, in Absolutely Fabulous - have you seen that in NZ?

Sue.....Excellent idea for your mums Christmas gift, a real mobile phone.
There is one here that just makes and receives calls, and you can text on it, but there are no fancy gimmicks - also large keys (buttons)

Love Joanna Lumley Tec,

Probably a bit more on the Dawn French side. Went and saw Lenny Henry perform here once many years ago.

Someone has just sent me a couple of comparison photos - one of the French Soccer Team in 1959 with all these white faces. The other of the French Soccer Team in 2008 with all these black faces and they have put it down to climate change.

Good evening/ morning all

Another glorious day has dawned.

Sorry Tec, I didn't mean to rub it in.

Sue, I know that I shouldn't but I juast had to chuckle about your mum. The tragic thing is that one day it will be our turn!

Hello to Little Bo Peep, Diane and comrade Berona

Diane - if I miss you I hope you are feeling better. That FM must be very tiring when you are having a bad patch. Only a few more days and then you're off for a week - lots of rest and sleep:-))

Tec - I think Allan is also a spy. Those early morning walks are very suspect.

Funnily enough my mum won't have a mobile. Figure that one out:-)) We've just talked her into a DVD player so she can take advantage of all the cheap movies that can be bought at the moment. To get her started I've bought her The King and I and Carousel. We both love the music from these films.

Persey - you have the most wicked sense of humour and I just love reading your posts on here and the Panto thread:-))) You will find a whole new world will open when you get Ancestry - well not quite but it is good.

Good Morning Allan,
I hope you do have a glorious day Allan - take a comfotable seat, a good book, and relax in the garden - declare a no work or jobs day.

Perse, Lenny Henry can be very funny.
I think if you looked at a photo c 1959 of our top footie teams you would notice the same difference - nothing to do with climate change - just that the black lads are such talented sportsmen.

Hi Allan - chuckle all you like. It's the funniest thing I've heard in awhile. I would never laugh in front of my mum but I just had to tell my brother. My sister in law had to take the phone off him 'cos he was laughing so hard he couldn't talk. Poor mum:-))

Perse, I knew that it was warming up in France but you can't blame that on climate change.

Tec, the garden is ruled out. OH is in her chainsaw mood and two more trees (small ones) were bowled over yesterday and immediately chipped.

I'm afraid that if I lounge around in a deck-chair, I may be next.

Sue what better place for a dead letter drop than a wheelie bin!

Tecwyn Report 1 Dec 2009 21:44

Allan, You're a very brave man to let OH loose in the garden with a chainsaw.......give mine a pair of secateurs and the garden looks like as if a swarm of locusts has passed through. She has this thing about cutting everything down.

A chainsaw in her hands, and I would gone for the day.

Tec it is really quite funny, and I think that I may have mentioned it before, but OH is into all things mechanical and likes nothing better than to look around the larger hardwear stores drooling over drop saws, drills, routers and other mysterios implements.

To me that's extremely boring

However put me in a shop selling kitchen implements and I'm in my seventh heaven!

Welcome back Diane,
OH not too bad today thanks, but I'm watching things closely, and making her rest a lot........with my nurses outfit on of course.

Allan, I like kitchen gadgets.... offered to buy OH a new Magi-mix food processor, but she said no, I was so disappointed as I wanted it really
