Ooer, Tec. How nice! You make me feel all gooey saying that -

but then I read what Linda says and I am reminded that whatever I wear, I still look like a bag lady!

(Although I think it fits - just what is a bag lady?)

Linda,
You are so right. Comfy is best!

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Dec 2009 21:45

Berona with your finishing school education, you are far too refined to be a bag lady

bag lady
n. Slang
A homeless woman, especially one in a big city, who carries her possessions with her, as in a shopping bag.

Berona,
You do make me laugh

A bag lady, as far as I know, is a poor homeless lady, who goes about with bags carrying all her worldly possessions tied around her waist.

I knew one once - she pushed everything about in an old pram, with three half starved dogs tied to the handle

No way can you compare yourself to a bag lady

Tec's in fine form today!

I'm not even going to try to compete: I don't want to destroy my image as a Grumpy Troll/Quasimodo etc

Thank you both No I don't think I would fit into that catagory.

I just feel at times that I look like that - but the only thing on wheels that I push is a supermarket trolley.

Berona - I truly can't see you as a bag lady:-))

I like to dress up when we go out but I go for comfort most times. Jeans and whatever most of the time.

Allan would you please button up your mac.

I have a mental image of you as being elegant, graceful, and charming - please do not destroy that image.

Allan, I do my best to be in any kind of form these days

Sue, Yes I am tired of hearing about Tiger Woods - who cares

Linda - I don't like to boast about the Swiss finishing school. I try to hide it. - pretty successfully if I do say so myself!

Tec - hold that dream!!! I don't think anyone else sees me that way.

Bye Sue - have a nice day.

Berona Report 2 Dec 2009 22:32

See you later Allan. Enjoy your free time.

I must away - I have a few things to do - and still wrapping presents. Still trying to think of what to buy a couple who have 'everything'. If I can afford it - so can they, and they buy it when they want it. If they can't afford it - neither can I. It's a vicious circle.

Bye all. Might drop in later to catch the latecomers.

Tec,
I'm going to Portsmouth to stay with my sister.
Berona, I'm impressed that you are wrapping presents. I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet!. I'll start it the week-end.
