Bonus, the delivery man has just been. Looking out of the window, I see the heavens have opened,so I will wait a while before I venture out.

I am going to delve into my new laptop, but I only ordered the wireless modem this morning,so won't be able to go on line with it just yet, or probably until one of the children comes to sort me out!

Tecwyn Report 3 Dec 2009 20:36

Good Evening Linda, and Pat,

No....I have been at the cooking sherry!
Lurking beneath this ancient and gruff exterior, there hides a child, who yet still finds fun in childish things.........
I hope he never leaves me.....

Yes Pat, Teddy Bears do live in the woods - except for the jolly fine black bear that lives with me.........

So which forest are you going to look at then?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 3 Dec 2009 20:45

The forest is called "Coed y Brenin"

Which is Welsh for The Kings Wood

Coed being wood - Brenin being King

A beautiful forest especially in the summer

Some of these Christmas things are very good. we have one near us which is turned into an enchanted forest walk at this time of year.

Sadly some of them you hear about on the news are a real rip off

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 3 Dec 2009 20:53

I think this event is organised by the Forestry Commission, and possibly the Round Table are involved.

The Round Table tour the villages with Santa on a sleigh, it's very colourful, and plays Christmas music - Santa's elves go round the doors collecting for charity.

I get quite upset if they've been and I've missed them

Well I hope that your Father Christmas says Ho ho Ho Tec and not Hi there our little poppet was most disappointed in him - such innocence.

Morning/evening Pat -
Not only the bears in the woods having a picnic, the big bad wolf is often seen lurking there, Just don't wear your hooded coat when you are there.

You haven't told us all about what you got up to at Tenerife - either that or I haven't been listening.

Hello everyone - what a lovely conversation. Our local shopping centre had the arrival of Santa last weekend. They have a parade with elves and fairies, little ballet dancers and children playing drums etc. It's fun and the children get very excited. I go down to watch it but I don't take the grandkids as they have their own Santa arrival near their home.

The thing I miss is the Salvation Army band that would go around the streets singing. That hasn't happened for a long while. However we do have Carols by Candlelight which is funny because it doesn't get dark until 8:-))

Persey I don't think Pat's adventures in Tenerife are for public consumption. We'll probably all get banned:-))

Good Morning Perse,
Hope you're fit for anything this morning!
Perhaps the "Hi there" Father Christmas was trying to be modern and trendy......doesn't work does it?

What a lovely lady you are to give your pylon picture to that lady,
and what a lucky lady to have owned a book shop - heaven.

Godod Whatever to all.

We returned safely, if somewhat bloated from our shpping trip yesterday. We bought the things that we were after which we could not buy in Bunbury and then did the touristy thing in Mandurah
