Good evening to everyone who has arrived since I went off to watch TV

Berona

Berona Report 3 Dec 2009 22:15

I'm fine, thanks Tec. Hope you and the duchess are well too?

I wouldn't expect you to be one of those nasties - you are too nice. My goodness, you ARE getting compliments, aren't you? Well, you deserve them.

Sue - I hope you are showing Perse and Allan how to handle celebrity-status. Allan could go off the rails a bit - and Perse? well I'm not sure about her. You'd better give them some training.

Perse and Allan will be on I'm A Celebrity Get Me out Of Here!

Persephone Report 3 Dec 2009 22:23

Sorry Berona

I didn't hear that I have sore ears - I have been dragged from my adoring fans and then I was dragged back again.
Bit like a push-me pull-you (quiet Allan) never seen anything like it in my life.
Allan has this Mac and he has replaced the buttons with a zip - so he can go zip adee doodah - so we all know who has been lowering the tone over there.
And Berona he was on about the w.... word again with his shepherds washing their socks.

Pat

I had trouble getting into the computer room this morning - as I had compliments from Linda, Sue and Tec - my head was so big had to come in sideways.

Sue, Linda and Tec - I had been wondering what to do with that picture and here was the golden opportunity handed to me on a plate. Though I did get concerned when his mother said they always had a picnic under a pylon.

Perse - if I was lunching under the pylon I would not be (ec)static.

Perse,
I'm ashamed to admit it but I just can't sing the carol about the shepherds because I'm more familiar with the wrong words!

Allan

Hello snitch.err sorry, I mean Persey!

You were doing your fair share: Poor Mary so many ways for her lambs to die and as for that split skirt!!

Good evening Linda

I have that problem with quite a few carols and songs Pat.

I was also a Marching Girl in my younger days - and we had our versions of various tunes and it is very hard to seriously March out on the field and not think of the words you know to it. Marching is predominantly a New Zealand activity - it died down for quite awhile but has been having a resurge of interest. There are quite a lot of shall I say mature woman's teams about - I helped a team out a few years ago and had a great time and lots of laughs.

Marching teams were popular here about twenty years ago. I used to see them practicing in parks - but haven't seen them for a long time. These days, we see more of girls training for soccer. Maybe the marching wasn't 'tough' enough for them? They must still exist because they turn up in parades, but not as much as they used to.....Pity..Marching is good for you and they look nice too.

Sorry people - as soon as office hours open I can bet on a few calls coming in. I must be off - the bed hasn't even been made. Love to you all and talk soon.

Berona Report 3 Dec 2009 23:03

Goodnight Pat. I'll be off too but you reminded me of a piece which was put in my autograph book when I was a child - and I can never hear the carol without singing these words

Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Beechams pills are just the thing
Peace on earth and mercy mild
Two for adults and one for a child.

Bye all. I'm escaping before you chastise me.

I think, Tec, that I will go.

A hot day forecast for here (32c) so I will do some work in the garden before it becomes too hot.

OH pinches computer from me and I miss all the good bits.

I loved your ditty Berona - not a version I am familiar with - I know Allan's ones (typical) and a few others but not that one.

Cheers all and have a good sleep for those in bed.

I think it is them that is upside down not us.
