Hi Berona,
Just spotted you in time - This weather doesn't suit the Duchess, she hasn't been out since Christmas - I do the shopping - I wouldn't dream of taking her out there - we have all we need, so won't need to go out again for a few daYS.

Seems that I am the first one in this morning. We had loads more snow overnight, it is really deep out there. We are going to attempt to walk into the market square. not that I think any stalls will be there, but hopefully the small supermarket will be open and i can get a few supplies, though they won't have had any deliveries this morning as the conditions are so bad.

I hope you managed to get warm in bed Diane

Good morning Linda

You are one brave lady going for a walk out in all that snow:-)

We here are sweltering in the heat.

That is really strange my board name has changed without me altering it.

Carole???

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2010 09:49

So has mine Diane, it has lost it Herriot bits, not good as there are lot's of Linda's around

Carolee

Carolee Report 9 Jan 2010 09:52

Linda
I went to the start of the community board and changed my name back to Carolee, otherwise nobody would know me as plain Carole.
That's really strange.

I have looked in my account and my surname is still in Herriot Country, though now you change that on the bottom of the Community boards page. I have gone there and added "inHerriotCountry" with no gaps but I am still just Linda, maybe it will correct itself

If you click on the community section on the green bar along the top of the page, it takes you to a page which lists all the message boards. Scroll down to the bottom and you can see where you put your board name in now. I think that you are not allowedto have any gaps in it though.

Maybe it had frozen your extra bits off.
Weird - they stopped people putting stars etc around their names at Christmas - only those that already had them were allowed to stay.

There is another Norma somewhere but I have only ever seen her posting once - so hope I don't chameleonise back into her.
I am only here for a few minutes as my television program will be on at 11pm. Touch of Frost (very apt name at the moment).
Probably won't be on tomorrow morning my time - tonight Brits time - we are off out to the outskirts tomorrow - think it's going to rain but that will keep the air cool hopefully.

I don't think I would fancy walking to the markets - hope it is not too slippery for you Linda. Me - I do a very good ar** over kite... and that's on dry land.. tho I did do a beautiful one on the slippery floor (hit a wet spot) in the supermarket once and had a lovely young man help me up - it was
ever so exciting - felt like I was on Harry Enfield.

Perse.

I thought I was losing the plot there for a minute:-))

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2010 10:00

I tried to put my board name back with the gaps in it, but it won't allow it,so I will have to have it all run together. It says you can only have letters and numbers in the name

I will be careful Perse, although the snow is going to be overmy boots. I could put my wellies on, but I preferthe boots as they have better grip

Berona Report 9 Jan 2010 10:50

I see your name has changed on previous pages Linda. Don't worry. We all know who you are - the same lovely Linda that we all know so well!

Maybe I'm invisible???

Can anybody see me???

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2010 11:40

I can see you Carole,

I have just got back and it was horrendous out there. Even the road in the town centre was well covered in snow. The pavements all the way to the centre were indistinguishable from the road. In the square, the snow had turned to slush in some places, but that was even worse as it was so slippy. The town is so old that nowhere is level which doesn't help. We have cobbles in the market square, walking on them covered in snowis fun
