You want your wife to take the veil Allan?

Tec,is there any other way to travel?

Certainly not for OH when he was working, he flew every where business clas and only stayed in the best hotels. I got to stay at home with the kids!

I have been to Sorrento Sue, it was lovely, but not the same one lol

Hey Sue that's lovely - it's really nice down there you will be right out near the tip of the peninsula surrounded by water.

How long will you be away - the trip across on the ferry to Queenscliff is something I will do next time I am over that way. I have a friend who lives in Frankston on the way down the Peninsula - she works in Dandenong.

Hi Sue,
Sorrento sounds Italian!

Berona

Berona Report 10 Jan 2010 22:13

Allan - we have a total fire ban here to-day too - with alerts for the next few days.

Sue - I always did drink a lot of water but never measured it until I went on my diet two years ago. Now, it has become a habit - last thing in the kitchen at night, I fill the electric jug for morning coffee - and make sure the 2ltr water jug (which should be empty by then) is filled and in the fridge for tomorrow. Always nice and cold too!

It seems to be all to do with wine Sue!

Tecwyn Report 10 Jan 2010 22:15

That all sounds very nice Sue - we are also going to a wedding in February, but as it's in a remote area of N.Wales I hope the weather improves.

Linda is your OH an Aquarian? I am as well - we are a very amiable breed..........

Penguins do look very smart in their suits Berona but they are not always polite - you try getting a group of them out from under your house - and between them swearing at you and you swearing at them - the air is very black and blue and so are you.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Jan 2010 22:18

No he is Capricorn Tec, not that I believe in any of that

Tecwyn

Persey - sorry it is Queenscliffe not Queenstown:-) Yes it's a lovely area. In Dromana there is a beautiful garden with a cafe and a shop that sells unusual seeds for flowers and old fashioned veggies. It is featured in gardening magazines and you can join a club called the Digger's Club. We'll arrive on Friday and stay that night and Saturday night and then we'll be going to OH's cousin's home near the Dandenongs for a bbq on Sunday. Not much time to sightsee but we've been there often so that's ok.

Linda - it's a very large wine area. I guess we just have to try the local produce "sigh".

I'm a little concerned for Carole who lives in Victoria. I'm not sure where but the temperature is set to be very high and some areas have been deemed "catastrophic" bush fire areas. I'm also concerned for Mick from the Bush and TonyW as I'm not too sure where they are either.

Sorry Tec - that happened many years ago at a bach or do you call them cribs or whatever - it was at the beach.... A family of penguins had been using the place as a dosshouse and when we arrived they were most upset that we wanted to move them. We would have let them be but one night with them beneath you was a bit like Diane's noisey neighbours above her.

They also thought that the fish we caught should be theirs - they are funny but not up close...

Linda,

I'm a Pisces and I do have all the Piscean traits: empathy, mysticism, etc.

My OH is also a Pisces and has none of them!

And somehow I could not see my OH taking the veil. I asked her whether she wanted to renew our wedding vows this year as it is our 40th.

As we got married in the Ukranian Catholic Church in Manchester, I suggested that we could this at the Ukranian Church in Perth.

Well, you would have thought that I was suggesting that she sell her body on the streets!!

I'm still not sure if her reaction was to the renewing of the vows or to having this done in Church!!

Carole lives about ten miles from Geelong if I remember correctly

Sorry Pat - I didn't answer your comment. Some of the houses in our Sorrento are very Italianate so I think there was some nostalgia for the old country when building the town.

Allan perhaps renewing the vows, makes her think of another forty years with you...........................

In that case, she should definitely want to retake them (panders to his manly pride)

Perse - I think you mean a beach house or beach hut.

Bach is Welsh for small - little

Ty Bach means Little House

Oh Tec going by plane sound's great as I'v never flown before.

Perse the penquin's in Liverpool town centre are dressed very colourful and they don't hide under thing's as they are very friendly and just stand around and let you look at them lol.

Right seen as you are all talking about getting away that make's me more determined to make sure I book a week away next year if not this year, even if it is only somewhere in England, in fact a week in B+B in Southport for those who have never heard of the place it is a town about 35mile's from me by the beach and if you won't some peace and quite and a stroll along a long beach then it is ideal and cheap.
