Hello everyone, sorry to have missed any of you

Berona

Berona Report 9 Jan 2010 22:24

Hello Linda. Hi Diane - not doing anything more than usual to-day. Need to get outside and water my pots before it gets too hot, but still having trouble standing on my feel for very long - so I'll be 'resting' - as usual.

Tecwyn

Hi Linda,
Is it snowing there?
and have you built that snowman yet?

Tec

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2010 22:30

I haven't built the snowman Tec, I have more sense. It has been snowing on and off all day.

My pots are watering themselves Berona,or at least they will do once the snow melts.
That is going to be the next problem, there will be bad flooding when it does melt

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2010 22:34

We were discussing that this evening Linda, should we get a rapid thaw, as does happen, with all the snow on the mountains melting into the rivers, there's sure to be problems.

Hi again Linda, hope your keeping warm hun.

Berona, not long now and you will be able to go to your DR's and get him/her to check you out and see if there is any other reason for your cramp's. Hope it is just the cramp's and nothing else, but it's best to make sure.

Tec how is OH today, is she coping alright with this weather hun, she will be glad to see it end and be able to get out even if it's only for a ride in the car.
I'm just going to get myself something to eat and then I will be back, don't all disappear on me while I'm gone.

Berona Report 9 Jan 2010 22:54

Yes Diane, surgery opens tomorrow. My dr will be there Tue/Thu/Sat, so I'll ring Monday for my appointment.

Tec - on days like this (expected 31), unless they can get a shaded spot at the beach, the sand will be too hot to walk or sit on! Most of them take some kind of shading with them.

Berona

Berona Report 9 Jan 2010 22:56

Black coffee for me please Diane! I just watered my pots and feel pretty good about it. Stayed up long enough to get around them all! Now, I'm 'resting' again.

Diane

Diane Report 9 Jan 2010 22:59

Here Linda one coffee hun and sugar bowl, anyone else before I eat my leftover from son cooking yesterday which is mash pot, cheese and ham mixed together and put in pyrex dish and heated up in oven. I'v just heated left over's in micro-wave.

Berona will be waiting for you to report when you know what DR has said.

I'd really like to be on Bondi beach just now - wouldn't mind if it was too hot, or a nice ferry ride over to Taronga Park - oh bliss.

Diane, This weather does seem to affect OH, but I've got my nurses outfit on, adjusting insulin levels, carbohydrate intake etc. Her blood sugar levels are very erratic at the moment so needs careful monitoring.

Linda is it very hilly where you are?

Tec

Diane Report 9 Jan 2010 23:06

Tec, I thought her DR was suppose to be sorting thing's out so her level's would be more stable, and if you go to any warm place till this weather is over take me in your suitcase so no one see's me escaping or they will tell my boss lol.

Tec - from what I hear, you wouldn't find a lot of Aussies there. Maybe a few locals, but mostly Poms, with the remainder from other countries - many back-packers. There are nicer beaches, but that was the popular one during WW2 and seems to be the better-known beach.

A ferry ride to Taronga would be nice - and just as nice when you get there with all the shade-trees and the constant breeze from the water.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2010 23:16

Diane, Not likely that I'll be leaving for anywhere hot any time soon soory.
The doctors are trying to stabilise OH, but with not too much success at the moment - she sees the doctor again on Thursday, and I'm keeping a careful record of daily events.
