Sue, I've seen some of those Threads!

A few minutes ago I thought that my luck had changed. OH informed me that there was a 'bird' in the bedroom.

I asked if it was the big busty variety, but it turned out to be a feathered one brought in by one of the cats!!

Linda - Tec isn't poor. Once he claims the family residence, he will have it converted and we will all be moving in as his staff.

Allan - don't shave your legs - there is 'something' about a hairy-legged maid that appeals to people. (SOME people, anyway!).

Leave Tec alone, girls. I like the way he talks - particularly when I'm on the receiving end!

Well I wouldn't want to upset OH,so you may have Tec all to yourself Berona. Of course the Duchess may have something to say about that.

Tec has a way with words:-)) It might shake our OH"s up to have a gentleman turn up at the door with flowers. A few years ago my OH organised a trip away for a football team. They were to come to the house and pay for the trip but as OH was working I would answer the door. I often wondered what the neighbours thought if they happened to see a dozen handsome young men standing on the doorstep giving me money. It would've done wonders for my reputation:-)) It gave us a laugh.

CC, Lancaster is the County Town for Lancashire and Manchester is, or was a County Borough Council, which provided all the services such as police, fire, ambulance, education etc. I started my Local Government career there in 1965. I was a junior committee clerk i.e. Tea boy.

All the old Police files were kept at the very top of the building and I used to love going up there and having a good old sticky beak

CC...... OH is Type one on insulin - been diabetic for 20 years now. She has always been meticulous about diet, and studies carbohydrate intake very carefully. Despite her being careful, her diabetes has become very unstable in recent years. She has a hypo almost every day at some time, and gets very little warning, sometimes no warning, which makes life for her very difficult.

Good morning everyone,

It looks fairly nice outside, but that is from the vantage of the centrally heated house. Nether the less we will venture out to the market as usual on a Saturday morning.

I was intending to go and see mum's grave today to see if they had taken the headstone away to add her inscription to it, then to go on to the house to check on that. Blow me if in the post, a letter didn't arrive from the undertakers, containing a nice memorial photo of the headstone back in situ, all nicely inscribed, plus the bill of course!
As I can't go every week, I had filled the vase on the top with artificial red roses, which is what she wanted. They don't seem to be there,so if they have gone missing, I will go and buy some new ones and refill the vase.

The Duchess should be inspecting Tec by now to see that he has spruced up enough to be let out in public, well that is what I do to my OH. I hope thay have a good time.
