Yes thank you - we are snug tonight. I've made a fire, just the sight of it makes you feel warm. The Duchess has had a strange day, and is currently fast asleep beside the fire.
Two of my neighbours have gone away, and I am in charge of feeding their cats for a week. One has a cat-flap so comes and goes as he wishes. The other one (the one I don't like) has to be let in and out several times a day depending on the weather.
You are in a bit of a predicament with Christmas lunch - maybe your son and his partner could eat another Christmas dinner in the evening?
All boys enjoy their mother's cooking.
Otherwise I can see you eating left over turkey 'till Easter - we are having leg of lamb this year.
Maybe your OH will feel better in the morning - I hope so.

I've booked the helicopter flight as tthe Duchess's Christmas present.
Hopefully she will be awake this time!

Hello Berona,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU

Hope Santa was kind to you today - I've hung up my stocking, and can't wait to find my night cap and bed socks as I'm sure Santa will have brought them.

Have a lovely day with your family.

Merry Christmas, Berona and Tec

I know that I said I wouldn/t be posting today, but I have just got back from my walk and couldn't resist!

OH still in bed and kids not arriving for breakfast until 9.30.

Does my popping on here mean I'm nosey and don't want to miss anything......

......or am I just a sad example of humanity :0))

Enjoy your Day

Thank you Tec and the same to you and the Duchess. Lovely present - I'm sure she will be thrilled with it.

Don't know what Santa left for me yet. I locked my doors and I don't have a chimney, but I sent him an email to direct him over to my daughter's place, and the grandchildren have already told me he has been there! Must get myself ready and get over there. The children only open the presents from their parents and have to wait until the rest of us all get there - so I'd better get going. Keep the fire stoked.

Merry Christmas Allan,

Well I don't think you're nosy or sad........

I think you're afraid we might all be having a riotous time without you,
well not yet - but we're all coming to yours for breakfast, so you'd better get that pinny on pronto.

Have a great day......enjoy yourselves

Don't worry Berona, Santa has a magic key which can open any doors.
Good to see you Allan and Tec. You are not sad at all Allan, just popping in to see your friends

A real helicopter flight sounds exiting Tec. maybe you can fly over your house and hang out to take an Ariel photo

I have just taken OH some supper in bed, he must be ill to want that, he normally hates to eat in bed. I will go and join him and watch some TV.

Enjoy the rest of your day down under and go to bed nice and early Tec,so Santa can leave all your gifts.

Goodnight to all of my very special friends

Merry Christmas Linda

I will stop posting now.

The house looks as though Father Christmas was using as a thoroughfare to all the surrounding houses with little 'uns (which is most of them!)

I'll make a start on tidying up, whilst OH enjoys her sleep.

Breakfast will be cooked on the Barbeque, very unhealthy but very tasty

Seasons Greetings to all

Merry Christmas everyone from Down Under.

Tec - I've given OH a gift voucher for an instructional flight. He gets to take over the controls when they are in the air. He's soooo excited.

I just spoken to my son and grandson in Hobart and shed a few tears:-))

Also a few tears for my dear friend Jean now at peace. Only a few because she wouldn't want the tears only smiles.

God bless you all - and God bless those we have loved and lost who are beside us in spirit.

Merry Christmas to you Sue,

Wow - I bet your OH is excited - lucky man. I had the option of an instructional flight for the Duchess, but thought better of it lol.
We could have sent them up together - probably get a postcard from Fiji if the Duchess was navigating........

I saw the sad news about your friend Jean - I'm sure she would want you to smile at happier times.

God Bless you too my friend - have a lovely day with your family.

Very best wishes,

Tec

Merry Christmas to everyone from "up top".

It is a strange start to the day, the first time in over thirty years that there have been no children (small or grown up) opening gifts. Just OH and me,though he has now gone back to bed. Naturally the bug he now has is far more severe than the one I have had for the last four days!

Berona Report 25 Dec 2009 10:43

Hello Linda,
It's not the same without the kids, is it? There seems to be a lull between when your own grow up and the grandchildren come along.

The day started out sunny here, then clouded over, and although the temps reached 29 and we did get some rain, it was light and didn't stop us from being out in it.

I've had a lovely day with my family - nice company, photos taken, too much food to know what to choose - and now, it's over and I'm looking forward to my bed....That's it for another year!

Sounds like your OH needs some antibiotics. You can't enjoy Christmas if you are not well. Keep warm, both of you.

I am glad that you enjoyed yourself. OH is now fast asleep. I am cooking full lunch, but he probably won't want to eat anything. I am just contemplating opening a box of chocolates.

Still my son and his girlfriend will be here this evening,so they will liven the place up.

Enjoy your bed and don't worry about the diet, that can wait until tomorrow
